+1 yThere is no such thing as unconditional love in a romantic relationship. My first ex boyfriend scammed me with nearly $1,300 (I'm never getting back my money) and drained my years with false promises. Obviously I'm not going to love such person. My love immediately turned to disgusted and hatred and he's been blocked ever since. I don't ever want to see nor hear from him again and couldn't care less if he got into an accident.
Perhaps there might be unconditional trust in a romantic relationship where you trust they don't cheat nor fail you but not unconditional love. A relationship has conditions such as being loyal. The only thing closest to unconditional love I can think of is a parent towards his/her child. Even so, just the fact of them being your biological children that in itself is already a condition too.

+1 yLove is like food, the relationship ends if you don’t feed it properly but everyone chooses to eat cause not eating hurts more than bad food.

+1 yi don't think romantic love is unconditional. there are conditions to it most people will require otherwise they end the relationship (honesty, faithfulness, and other things that bind us).
unconditional love means no matter what happens you love them. so perhaps if you are cheated on you can still have love for that person (i can say that from experience) but i won't remain in the relationship with them.

1.5K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Well I actually think that you already know the answer to that that's the reason why you're asking it because anybody that ever used a line like that you would already know exactly who they are what they want because you have already felt that and that's why you're with them but if a guy has to say it over and over and can't prove it any other way then of course you know it's a line of s***

Yes it’s real but more often times than it’s coming out of the wrong mouths. Someone who loves you unconditionally isn’t going to put you through loads of disrespect. I believe you can’t give someone something emotionally that you don’t give to yourself. everything you put out is a projection of yourself. When I didn’t care about my own well being and didn’t respect myself I sure as hell didn’t give a shit about others. If you don’t love yourself unconditionally your not going to be able to give it to others.
00 ReplyYes it is real! We all have the ability to control our own mind; therefore unconditional love is possible. However, only like 0.1% of the population control their own minds. Most people leave it wind open and react to the outside. If you react to the outside there is no way you could love someone unconditionally; because the outside is nothing but conditions.

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yUnconditional love is a fallacy. In order for a man or woman to end up in a relationship they have to meet certain requirements based on what the other person is looking for. I’m sure you wouldn’t be w someone long term if they’re ere a crack addict, alcoholic, abusive, etc, etc. I believe that only pertains to children, everyone else has their standards as to who they will or will not date.

1.5K opinions shared on Relationships topic. No such thing. You can get close and love is very close but conditions still exist in some form. Otherwise you would be A-okay with them cheating on you as there would be no condition saying that's not allowed. And then would be okay with them abusing you. And etc.

+1 yUnconditional love isn't real.
There will always at least be the condition that they love you back.
Relationships are themselves conditions, the idea that if someone treats you with love that you want to give it back.
People say they will unconditionally love a person, but if that person became psychotic and attacked you, you aren't going to love them anymore, you're going to hate them.00 Reply 2.1K opinions shared on Relationships topic. There is always a line somewhere, that line just varies from person to person and situation.
10 ReplyI believe in unconditional love.
God’s love is unconditional!
if you have the love of God in your heart then you can love others with this kind of love!

@Girl242 bad things happen because of sin and Satan. God’s love can save us from sin and eternal life in hell.
All you have to do is ask God for forgiveness of your sin and He will save you!
There will always be evil in the world because of Satan. But with God’s love you will not have to face it alone! - +1 y
@Girl242 Personally I believe God is Amoral. I believe the Law of Polarity is why there is good and bad in the world. People choose bad a lot. I don't believe God loves us. I don't think God operates that way. If you love God he will send love back to you. I believe God is energy and you attract energy by the whatever vibration you are in. He send you more of the energy you're already operating on. He cannot give you positive energy until you let go of the negative vibration and assume a more positive one. I don't believe in Satan. It simply means false thinking and using the laws in the wrong way, which most do. If there is only God... The devil must be God too. And so I don't believe in all that religious mumbo jumbo about satan trying to work against God lol. No loving God sends people to hell. The concept of hell also makes no sense. I believe the Bible is allegory talking about the mental realm only. You can live a hell of a life or a heavenly life depending on how you use the laws of spirit. Those who don't live righteous, live poor their whole lives; in multiple areas. And righteous doesn't mean good. It means working in harmony with the laws. The Bible isn't about morals at all. The story of Adam and Eve proves that. The tree of knowledge of good and evil is exactly what is warns against yet religions literally focus on good vs evil... I don't even think the husband and wife bit is about marriage. It's about the conscious and subconscious mind. The conscious mind being the male and the subconscious being the female. The people who taught me this are all rich and happy. It's sad that some believe we come here as dumb humans to be tested. You can literally condition a human from birth to be a criminal. Seriously. That's how the mind works. No God is waiting for us to ask for forgiveness. That would be idiotic. But belief does not work by logic. That's why religions are so dominant over the real message of the Bible.

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yA line people use.
Most people that use the term "unconditional love" typically do not realize or simply do not care to accept that they are not worthy of real love. You have to give to get. That's just reality.

By the way, reading the question again, i want to make it clear I am NOT considering the word "romantic". Romance itself is conditional and temporary.
