Any advice for a long distance relationship?

None yet.. i just started it myself after always seeing him for 11 months, and it sucks. Right now he’s the positive one about it or at least trying to. I love him so im not ending it, but it SUCKS.

Anyway, HIS advice was us planning when we’re seeing each other again so that there is something to look forward to. I suggested us doing a “watch party” so we can still watch our shows together (this has video calls whilst having chat messages and watching the same stuff together). We’re gonna be delivering each other gifts for our one year anniversary. Saving money for flights. We planned on flying separately and meeting somewhere (western states- which is the mid point for us). I haven’t suggested this to him but we can eat meals together while video calling aka “virtual dates”.

I guess these are my suggestions of what you can do in a long distance relationship. Its hard, and its only been two days for me lol… ill try to make it work with him. As i know he will do the same with me. Good luck.

Communicate no matter what! Even though it is a stupid small idea that bothers you, share it. This changes the world.

See each other as much as possible and communicate as much as possible.  Also if possible move in closer because long distance relationships rarely work out and they hurt when you are not close.

I don't know we used to do video calls almost every time we were home, while video calling we would play video games together online or by ourselves, watch movies together, eat in our rooms together.. video calling was the thing to hold us together.. He flew to my house and stayed 2 weeks and then after 6 months I flew down to his.. his parents had rules tho which sucked and why we ended up married..

Don't spend sooo much time together tho keep it healthy.. I think me and my husband were kind of unhealthy with it :D

Make sure communication is frequent and BOTH people are making an effort to see each other when possible. Also from personal experience it’s important to consider planning out an actual future with this person. What does life look like after being long distance? Are you both on board with where you want to eventually be? Future plans have to be a part of the convo cause long distance without a plan to ultimately be together will kill the relationship especially if one has to sacrifice too much.

Patience and consistency.

Keep in touch with each other whenever possible. Set a specific time of the day to call each other. Spend time with each other whenever is possible and try to do something fun other than just staying at home watching TV. Send little gifts to each other from time to time.

Yeah, don’t have one. Don’t get into one. Don’t consider being in one. One of you will cheat and the other won’t know until they actually meet in person and find out in real life what they wouldn’t have known otherwise.

Uh huh - don't get in one!! LDR's are built on fantasy and maybe 1 in a thousand people ever meet OR get back together in the same place if they've met and separated. My strong advice is don't do it.

If it's for a never met: NEVER go for it. I experienced it, and others experienced it as well. It only worth it if you wanna suffer.

If it's not never met: just make sure it will be for certain amount of time.

I watch 90 day fiancé on TLC. It’s about international dating. It’s interesting to see long distance relationships. I think it could happen but no guarantee.
