Normally like guys that workout and muscular or at least thin but now I found myself liking this obese guy.. a part of me wants to ask him out but then I'm not sure I'd enjoy being intermediate with him. Any thoughts or experiences?

I've definitely put more thought into it, since I asked this question as some answers have gave some good advice. I'm still a bit worried about what the right move is and I know it's shallow to dismiss him solely for his weight. That pushed to the side I think I would like to date him as I do like him and not just because I think he's a great person but I do actually also find him physically attractive too (he has a nice face, smile, eyes. Plus I like the way he styles his hair and his smart dress sense). Not sure if I'll ask him out on a date just yet, I think I'll put a bit more thought into it as you brought up something I didn't even consider so that's something else to think about. All great relationships don't necessarily become intimate relationships. Could you picture yourself being intimate with and marrying your BFF? Not taking it in that direction doesn't minimize the value you do experience with your BFF. Unless all doubts truly disappear, just be his friend.

When you go out to a restaurant with a friend, and that friend orders a different menu item to eat than you choose for yourself, that doesn't prevent the two of you from having a wonderful time at dinner. Make the most of what is rather than focus on what could or should be.

If he is a good guy and you like him that's all that matters. I have no experience dating people that are obese so can't help you there. Like you I tend to go for fit guys or girls. That's my type and I'm not one that would likely date someone that's overweight. But hey if you are happy then that's all that matters.

Okay. I'm just worried if things went well with dating and moved forward to the next stage (intimacy) and me not enjoying it or something.
