Why won’t my husband say I love you to me when our female co worker is around?

I work with my husband of 16 years but lately he’s been acting kind of strange. He’s hanging around younger co workers at work. He’s never had an issue telling me I love you on the phone before but lately around this one female co worker, when I tell him I love him, if she’s anywhere around, he won’t say anything or just say goodbye without saying I love you. Is he worried what she will think?

Ehhh. Talk it out calmly... Thats my advice. As an answer, i csnt give5you a clear one but i have suspicions, he might have a crush on her, he might have an affair. Orrrr its simple that she hates lovey dovey people and he respects her wishes when she is around himit could be big or nothing at all. Talk it out calmly. And say "its okay you can tell me anything"
