This is an intriguing question. I will say that I was once in a relationship, with someone I knew I love more than she loved me... but I was okay with it because I still believed that she honestly still loved and cared for me. So, I was fine with it, until over the years I realized that maybe she never loved me as much as I though she did. Then I started to stop loving her.

I also started to resenting myself, for almost enabling her in every way to not respect or love me.

But I was okay with it for long time... and I could be again as long as she is respectful of me and gives me the effort I cold appreciate.

nope. to do so would be a mismatch of emotional investment, time, and energy. this is a big part of the term "matching energy" and being at different levels so to speak. would also mean she is less commited to the relationship than i am. to me it would be her giving only part of herself instead of all of herself while i am giving my all. sets a relationship up for eventual failure.

Who knows, maybe I'd find myself in a relationship like this, because it's not always easy to know how much someone loves you until you're with them for a while.

But I wouldn't like that, I'd avoid it. I wouldn't want to be with someone who didn't feel that I was enough for them. To be content I'd need to be with someone who would do the same for me as I'd do for them.

I would be ok with it as long as i knew that my girl loved me more than anyone else, even if its less than how much i love her but if she still loves me the most i would be ok with it. Being #1 in her life is still #1
