Every so often, I might wonder about her but SHE left (cheated on) ME!! And then she accused me of shit I never did!! So, I really have no use for her but, every great once in a while, I might wonder about her but, last I heard, she's in Denmark teaching Indian Philosophy in some university over there.

Not really. I don't like drama so I'm pretty much a "out of sight, out of mind" type of guy. I mean at times I might think of them and hope they're doing well. Regardless of what precipitated the split. I don't know how to stop caring about people. But if things were bad enough that I had to extract myself from the situation then I I'm completely done with them. But as I said I will always wish the best for them.

But would you end it by blocking them and completely ignoring them? No closure or nothing?

Not unless she gave me reason to do it. When I said "I'm completely done with them". I meant as far as partners go. I still care about her as I said. I'd want to help her if at all possible. But if ended so badly that she was making it impossible (like not accepting it was over, manipulating me, harassing me, well then she'd force my hand. I would still wish her well though. Because that's just who I am.

In my own situation I was anything but kind to the guy I was dating. I listened while he complained about his housemate, work issues, the sound of cars annoying him outside his house. I gave him back massages, lent him my bike, made him food and brought it into him in work. I got annoyed because he kept cancelling on me last minute and never rescheduled. For him to block me and end it over text after we got on so well is cruel. I wanted to meet up on Wed and try to talk it out but he instead ended it over text. Basically he wanted to get there before me... I'm in an awful state... So that's who you are and you sound like a decent guy but thus other guy I was dating wasn't...

All I was trying to do was voice my boundaries and concern... he was obviously off getting with another girl by the sounds of it.

Was he your age older or younger. Because while appreciate you saying I sound like a good guy, I am fallible. And sometimes we unknowingly take people for granted. I'm not saying that the case with this guy because maybe he didn't value you like he should've but I'm saying I had to grow into the person I am now. And I'm not perfect so I'm sure I still do take people for granted at times, though I hope not.
But don't beat yourself up about this. Because if you're as good as you say he WILL come back at some point. And then you need to decide whether it's worth it to take him back. Because odds are if you are what you described, those types of people are in short supply.
