That is the day he awakens and takes the wheel of his life. The best day comes when he gets to the point in his life where he can be living his purpose and flourishing after putting in the hard work to get there.

At some point, you learn that nobody’s going to save you either, and you should be your own hero.

Personally, I'd say that was a pretty bad day. I remember being a kid & crying myself to sleep because I felt that nobody loved me or cared about me enough. A better day is when we realize that we're more competent than we thought we were & don't even need certain people we thought we did before.

I don't think most people even understand the question, much less the answer.

What it means is that society doesn't care about the fate of men, and isn't designed to help them if they fail. At best, a man can only count on what he has built himself (which can include his family), but he cannot depend on government or society to help him, because they almost never will. He's got to be strong enough to take care of himself and solve his own problems (even if that means being able to pay for others to do things on his behalf). Nothing will ever come to a man for free.

This is NOT true for most women - women have endless amounts of societal and government help available to them, not to mention family and friends. There are safety nets for women - many of them - while there are virtually none for men.

Many men are naïve about this, especially when they are younger - believing that the world is fair, or is supposed to be fair. Many believe that society and governments are there to help them. Often, they have to personally experience a severe hardship and experience the indifference towards them before they wake up to the true reality of the world. But it's good when they do - because it helps them to understand that they MUST take accountability and responsibility for themselves, and start building their own future. That's a vital and necessary part of a boy becoming a man.

I've already realized hardly anyone cares about me. However it does let me appreciate the few people that  do  seem to care, and that's a golden experience for me. I've given up on ever being valuable, so the only thing I can do is try to live each day as peacefully as possible. No drama, nothing. It's good enough.

I can’t speak for men. But I will say that I don’t think thats considered anyones best day. I do however think its considered the most necessary day for anyone, man or woman. The day you realize no one (on earth) truly gives a damn about you like they claimed to, you will experience great suffering and then a total rebirth all in the same day. It makes you soooo much mentally stronger the day you realize you are your own best chance of survival/success

I don't think this is specific to men. I think all people should be able to stand in thier own 2 feet. I like to think I'm at least fairly successful. But my greatest in success in life wasn't an accomplishment I feel. It's learning what I NEED in life. I'll always be successful now because I don't quit, EVER! You only fail once you've given up. It's not a coincidence that a lot of the greatest accomplishments in life are born from the greatest failures.
