Anyhow we live for no one but ourselves sure your parents can have their say, but if he treats you right, makes you happy and you truly think he's the one you'd want to spend the rest of your life with then your parents should just be happy that you're are happy.

But who gives a shit about your family's opinion? If you love your boyfriend and want to marry him, that's YOUR choice, not your family's.

If you really love him, your parents shouldn't meddle in your business. It's not their choice, it's yours. I know you might be religious or your family is at least, if that's important to you, you could still choose to let him go. But in the end of the day, you're the person that will be with your husband everyday not your parents so you should love him, not them.
