Isn't this bad advice?

My family including my own mom; said i should be happy that my ex boyfriend left his baby mom and baby alone to be with me because it shows that he cares more about me than them. But my question to them was if he cared, why did he cheat on me with multiple women and got a 8 of them pregnant? We are still broken up and I'm glad.. isn't that bad advice to give to someone? Especially your own child? My mom drinks a lot and her man was in jail. so THAT'S probably why she said that. Smh

Woah, that is NOT good advice your mom is giving you at all! Staying away from that guy is definitely the smartest thing to do.

Leaving other kids and their moms for someone new is just messed up and selfish. And cheating on you with that many girls? That dude obviously has no respect for commitments or taking care of his responsibilities. You deserve so much better than that drama.

I can't believe your mom told you to be happy he left his own family for you! That's just enabling his crappy behavior. She's probably not thinking straight if she's drinking a lot too. Girlfriends come and go but you don't wanna get tied down with a guy who'll abandon his kids.

You seem like you've got your head on straight for realizing that relationship ain't it. Keep trusting your gut - it'll serve you way better than whatever your mom says when she's drunk. Stay single, live your life, and have fun! The right guy will come along who appreciates you without all that messy baggage.
