Shall I throw out my boyfriends PlayStation to prove a point?

Heyy there so basically my boyfriend is constantly playing on his PlayStation all the time! And I’ve told him that he needs to spend less time on it but won’t listen so I’m seriously considering just throwing it out what’s your thoughts is that ok? thanks

I wouldn't recommend throwing out his PlayStation, that could really damage your relationship and cause a big fight. Here are a few better options:

- Talk to him again calmly about how his gaming is affecting you and your time together. Compromise on set gaming hours or days so you both get quality time.

- Plan fun activities for you both like going out, a hobby you can do together, watching your favorite show, etc. so he wants to spend time with you.

- If he's playing a lot one day, tell him you're going out for a bit but don't say where. It'll leave him wondering what he's missing out on. 😉

- Gaming can be addicting so maybe help set limits gently, not punish him. Destroying his stuff will make him resentful, not listen better.

Communicate your feelings without attacking him. Hopefully he'll realize it's affecting you guys and want to find a balance that makes you both happy. Breaking his things won't solve anything - try winning his time with your amazing self instead! Let me know if those ideas help.

You have every right to throw out your boyfriend, if he's not what you're seeking in a boyfriend, but you have no right to throw out his belongings. You can't blame a piece of equipment for the actions of the human operator. Stop assuming people will change for you. He is who he chooses to be, and that is what he'll remain. What if he takes a pair of scissors to all your favorite clothes to get back at you? Do you really want to escalate a non-issue? Stop expecting your cat to bark. Accept it as a cat or trade it in for a dog.

Do that only if you don't want him to be your boyfriend anymore. Imagine if he destroyed your favorite designer shoes/bags or your makeup? Is not a nice feeling right? If communication no longer works in your relationship and you've tried to fix it multiple times maybe it's a sign you both need to move on.

But if you do you had best put ANYTHING YOU VALUE OUT OF THE WAY, your phone, laptop, etc, anything that YOU spend time on will become fair game. The PlayStation is NOT your property, do anything to it at your peril. Maybe you should break-up and move on if his playing on his PlayStation is bugging you this much.

No you don’t. Especially if he spent his own money on it. Either you move on, find someone else or you continue to deal w it. Don’t use this as a method to control him. Don’t blame the item for his actions. Besides exactly how much attention do you need? Because it seems like women need constant attention all the time.
