+1 yI wouldn't recommend throwing out his PlayStation, that could really damage your relationship and cause a big fight. Here are a few better options:
- Talk to him again calmly about how his gaming is affecting you and your time together. Compromise on set gaming hours or days so you both get quality time.
- Plan fun activities for you both like going out, a hobby you can do together, watching your favorite show, etc. so he wants to spend time with you.
- If he's playing a lot one day, tell him you're going out for a bit but don't say where. It'll leave him wondering what he's missing out on. 😉
- Gaming can be addicting so maybe help set limits gently, not punish him. Destroying his stuff will make him resentful, not listen better.
Communicate your feelings without attacking him. Hopefully he'll realize it's affecting you guys and want to find a balance that makes you both happy. Breaking his things won't solve anything - try winning his time with your amazing self instead! Let me know if those ideas help.10 Reply

1.7K opinions shared on Relationships topic. You have every right to throw out your boyfriend, if he's not what you're seeking in a boyfriend, but you have no right to throw out his belongings. You can't blame a piece of equipment for the actions of the human operator. Stop assuming people will change for you. He is who he chooses to be, and that is what he'll remain. What if he takes a pair of scissors to all your favorite clothes to get back at you? Do you really want to escalate a non-issue? Stop expecting your cat to bark. Accept it as a cat or trade it in for a dog.

+1 yDo that only if you don't want him to be your boyfriend anymore. Imagine if he destroyed your favorite designer shoes/bags or your makeup? Is not a nice feeling right? If communication no longer works in your relationship and you've tried to fix it multiple times maybe it's a sign you both need to move on.

... and if you throw it out, what, or who, will he play with? Maybe that sexy neighbor?

+1 yThe only point you'll prove is that you are toxic, you can make this point at a less extreme level and that's by removing and hiding the power cable so it gives you enough time to talk to him properly without him getting distracted

He's only your boyfriend, not your husband. GTFO if he's not manageable.

+1 yNever understood,"gameboys/gamegirls" that are in relationships? 🤔
Life as we know it just flies by... if we end up for the relationships to do the same, then what's the point in having a boyfriend/girlfriend... what will happen later on? Trying to have sex/being intimate, and the guy says: "sorry bby but i need to (meet) the boys online", like wtf? All this "electronic dependance" is becoming too much...00 Reply 439 opinions shared on Relationships topic. Just try it and see what happens!!!,
But if you do you had best put ANYTHING YOU VALUE OUT OF THE WAY, your phone, laptop, etc, anything that YOU spend time on will become fair game. The PlayStation is NOT your property, do anything to it at your peril. Maybe you should break-up and move on if his playing on his PlayStation is bugging you this much.00 Reply
Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yNo you don’t. Especially if he spent his own money on it. Either you move on, find someone else or you continue to deal w it. Don’t use this as a method to control him. Don’t blame the item for his actions. Besides exactly how much attention do you need? Because it seems like women need constant attention all the time. He may be giving you attention but according to your definition it may not be enough.

+1 yno. it's not yours to throw out. if he isn't willing to change then you need to decide if it's worth staying with him. doing something passive aggressive like throwing the system out isn't only wrong but it doesn't address the issue.

If you aren't a gamer than why are you dating a gamer? It makes no sense, gamers only want to be with other gamers, even if they settle for less.04 Reply- +1 y
Either join him in the game or leave him, don't be a childish thief, if you damage or sell his playstation he can report you to the police for theft or property destruction.

People need likeminded parters. He deserves another gamer, and you deserve someone who's not, so yes, you should leave, without starting a fight or trashing anything.
6.7K opinions shared on Relationships topic. That is definitely not ok. You asked and he has answered you by not changing his behavior. Your choice is to keep begging him or to leave the relationship.

+1 yYes if you want him to think you are crazy and breakup with you please go ahead lol funny if this was a norm in relationship throwing things you don't like you will never know when you guys are leaving street haha🙃
00 Reply 315 opinions shared on Relationships topic. Just unplug it or cut the power cord (while it's unplugged!) if you want to make that point, there's no reason to waste money. @caring__1's opinion is right, throw him out first!

+1 yFuck no! Don't do that shit. There are three things us guys have that you absolutely must never fuck with. (1) His car (2) His tools (3) His (PS5) and if he has a guitar like me don't fuck with that either.
00 Reply 5.1K opinions shared on Relationships topic. No, that is immature. You aren't his mother. If a partner has behavior you don't like and they don't want to change then breakup. He can take legal action against you as well. Which I hope he does if you throw out anything of his.
00 Reply1.4K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Throw him out and keep the play station.
He probably won't change and won't notice if you are gone.00 Reply

One of my friends girlfriends set his Playstation on fire in the driveway. He pressed charges and she ultimately lost custody of her kids.
You want to do something childish without thinking there could be repercussions. What if he throws out all your clothes. Or throws away your car keys to prove his point.
