What is one reason why you don't like dogs?

My husband used to hate dogs because he was bit by random dogs 2 or 3 times. He never had a dog as a child either. It took 12 years of nagging him before he agreed to a dog. Now we have 2 and he LOVES dogs!

They're loud, hyper and dependent on you. Also when I was 3-4 years old this huge dog jumped on my back and I have this fear that dogs are going to attack me. I don't trust them.

When dogs bark, it hurts tf out of my ears (I have hyperacusis). It gives an instant headache.

I hate the barking too due to my tinnitus but luckily my brothers and sis dogs dont bark 2 much

When someone I lived with had a dog, it was pretty annoying when he did bark but he didn't bark too often which I was glad of. But when he did, if I wasn't protecting my ears, it felt like a gunshot going off.

Ye my brother has a labradore she stays here for a week at a timee im like if she's too much of a nuisance she has to stay with my other brother the only rime she barked during the night was cos of the washing machine i odnt blsme her cos it wakes me Up too lol

Tbh I wouldn't mind dogs though if I didn't have this hearing condition. Dogs are so loving that it's genuinely fun to be around them.

I don't think I have tinnitus. I don't hear any constant tones. For me its just loudness hyperacusis & pain hyperacusis & an overactive tensor tympani muscle.

This condition changed me I swear. I was different when I didn't have it. I was more optimistic about things. Back when I didn't need hearing protection just to do something as simple as speak to my loved ones. 🧎‍♂️

Ahh sounds like you have vestibular hyperacusis. Tbh I'd rather have that than pain hyperacusis. I'd rather even be losing my hearing than to have hyperacusis.

Well, if you’ve ever been bit, or attacked, you might not like them…
Also people who don’t pay attention to their dogs in public ( staring at their cell) often fail to notice the giant pile of sticky smelly dog shit their hound just left.: Those people give dogs a bad rep.
Side note : if you do pick it up and bag it, finish the fucking job and put it in the trash. Don’t leave it thinking your going to grab it on the way back, because you never do!

I don’t mind them when someone else is their human but to actually live with one, our personalities and character traits just don’t match enough. Cats are the kind of people who can be content with just being in the same room as you and enjoying your presence without the need of an actual interaction. Those are my people.

only reason i can think of is fear/trauma cause otherwise if someone doesn't like dogs they are not mentally healthy people, even ASPD people likes them even a potential serial killer with no remorse and emphaty loves this creatures you need to be a next level lunatic to not like them.

I do, but from what I’ve seen (from lots of blacks…) just fear from inexperience. Not that I demand they get expoernece. People don’t have to like dogs. And when out dogs should be controlled by training or by leash. If you can’t control them 100% off the leash put them on the damn leash.
