Whats a proportional relationship?

In my opinion, a proportional relationship is like a buddy system: for every step you take, your buddy takes one too. It's this simple, no-fuss rule – if you grab two cookies, your buddy grabs two as well. It's just things moving together in harmony, like shadowing your friend in a walk. Alright tell me what is a proportional relationship?

Imagine you're biking and the faster you pedal (one quantity), the farther you go in the same amount of time (the other quantity). This "steady give-and-take" stays the same no matter how much you increase or decrease your speed or distance. It's like having a rule: double your speed, double your distance. in my opinion a proportional relationship is a couple that doesn’t keep track about what the other person does and just does things for the other person because they love them and want to see their partner be the happiest person. I strive for a relationship like this. Where we aren’t constantly worried about who is paying for what and what not because we both have each other like that.

In other words, not an arrangement I'd be very interested in. My ideal relationship is one in which the ratio is approximately 80/20 or 70/30, etc, in favor of the female.

No ones in charge per se, although in deep longterm relationships each person opts to “be in charge” of one area like finances or laundry.
