Would you forgive people if they hurt you?

It’s this girl who was married was heavily disrespected by the public and others. Her husband was overseas and his wife was heavily disrespected. The man friends kept saying he wasn’t married because they hated her. They passed rumors about her and treated her like completely trash. The family and her are now Facebook friends and people are trying to apologize to her. Her husband returned from overseas and cut everyone off. Would you accept their apology? They did his wife completely dirty behind his back because they just didn’t like her. his family pretended like they didn’t know her because of the lack of respect towards her. They disrespected his wife terribly. They wouldn’t speak to her in public. They did all of this while he was overseas.

Reminds me of the movie “Malena”. Her husband went to war and she was treated like trash back home (among other things). I personally would accept their apology but I would still cut them off for good. It will do you no good harboring the hatred and anger for the people that have hurt you so it’s better to forgive but you also don’t need to play nice with them. Forgive, and move on, pretend that they don’t exist.

Depends on what the person did to hurt me. If it wasn't anything drastic like cheating, and if it was unintentional, then yes.

What you described was definitely intentional and ill-meaning, so that's a hard no. They didn't apologize becuse they meant it, they apologized because your/her husband cut them off or they started to lose face elsewhere because of it.

I wonder why she was treated like trash? Is it possible for someone to treat another person like this without hee doing anything wrong, just because they want to destroy her and hate her out of nothing? It's really weird 🤔

If this was the case, she's free to forgive them or not but for sure if i was the husband, i ain't going to forgive any of them and if they talk to me than i'll teach them what being a trash is!

If i was in this situation where i'm married and i'm overseas and some people treats my wife like trash, it means that they have treated me like trash too cause me. and wife are one, who insults her means he insulted me too!

Yes, it's possible. I've seen it happen to other people enough times because the person/people trashing on them either had mental disorders (e. g. NPD, histrionic), were jealous or both
