Why my boyfriend forgets what he tells me?

So recently my boyfriend started this habit of forgetting what he had told me, i was talking about the football team he loves and he told me how i know this is his fav team? I told that you told me he was like i don’t remember i did, then today also he told me did i tell u about what happened that day at work i was like no u didn’t tell me he said really i thought i told u… he kinda keeps forgetting what he has told me and what he didn’t, does it has any meaning or its normal and im overthinking it

Ay girl, that is kinda weird that your boyfriend keeps forgetting stuff he told you. A few possibilities:

- He might be super scattered lately with work or other stuff on his mind. We all have moments where we space out.

- Make sure he's not maybe drinking a lot or doing anything that could affect his memory outside of what he shares with you.

- It could also be that he's not fully paying attention to details when you talk sometimes. We've all been somewhat absentminded partners.

- I wouldn't jump to thinking he's hiding anything necessarily. But his forgetfulness could make it easier for him to lie if he wanted to cover something up later on.

My advice would be pay attention to any other changes in his behavior or if this continues a lot. Bring it up casually that you've noticed, not accusingly. See how he responds. If he gets defensive, that would be a red flag. But hopefully it's no biggie and he just needs to listen better! Keep me posted.
