How much important physical appereance in love?

To me? Totally and absolutely unimportant.

the reason is that I place a much higher importance on the intellect, the character and overall general compatibility with me on those levels.

A person that has to rely solely on his looks rather than on what is is capable of doing in life is setting his priorities wrong.

Looks are nice but what will they be when he is 60+? They will have faded and he is only an empty shell that has no content because all that counted was the looks.

A person that cultivates his intellect and prioritizes a good character will never fade like a flower. This spirit of his will remain at age 60+. On the short as well as long term,
there is a much higher gain for anyone to go for someone that cultivates a high intellect and keeps that spirit alive.

Give me an overweight and ugly looking guy that has the ability to make me laugh and challenges me mentally and has a good chemistry over a boy that places his energy on
looking good but has only hay in the brain.

And when I say ugly looking guy, this is relative because what sounds negative to one may sound good for another person.

It's not the most important thing, but it is important to me to be physically attracted to my romantic partner. Without the physical attraction and connection, I'd view the relationship as a friendship rather than a romantic relationship.

I'm sure that there are some people for whom it doesn't matter at all, but I'm not one of them. Though a relationship is mostly based on personality and emotional connection and I don't need my romantic partner to be the most attractive woman I've ever seen, I do need to feel physical attraction in order for it to feel like a romantic relationship.
