Got hospitalized and guy friend got mad?

He got mad and lectured me but then told me right after that he can't help but care and that im important.

Now i feel a bit odd because he can be a source of annoyance but at the same time i feel like he cares a lot & i find some of the words sweet

My question is i dont know how to feel about it.
