What should I do a friend of mine ignored me for so long after argument?

Im waiting for his message, and I got no response at all. Is that means friendship we built for so many years broken just like that? I'm feeling sick think about it. And I can't stop figuring out if I made mistakes again.

Also I do not know the whole context of your “friendship”. However I hate to break it to you but men do NOT need women as “platonic friends” to survive in this world.

Women gain a lot more out of platonic “friendships” with men then vice versa. There is very little you can offer him.

He might of decided you are more trouble than what it’s worth. Men do have breaking points.

Women need to accept that any straight man who approaches them is never really looking to be “just friends”. Especially if they ask for your number or something.

Thanks I was personally the problem, and I allowed my emotions to get the best of me, but I've been trying to work on this so as not to bury myself deeper in a mess.

No offense (and I’m proud of you owning up to this) but I have personally found the only way women learn is when guy cuts off all communication and attention to a woman. Any attempts to “reason with her to improve her” never works.

Some women are all too comfortable trying to get all they can out of a man’s patience. Again men do have breaking points, we walk away and never look back. This includes “nice guys”. Be careful not to push us to that limit.

Thank you for recognising this about myself. It means a lot to me since I truly want rebirth. That's precisely what took place. I suppose I was sort of testing things, and eventually he had had enough. I don't mean any malice towards him. He's a wonderful man, and I will treasure the counsel he gave me.

@RageBabe women subconsciously shit test men. They often don’t even realize they are doing it.

Men are conditioned to be more patient with women than other men. But when we feel disrespected that is when the breaking point comes.

Anyway sorry you lost out on a decent friendship. I would just take this as a life lesson on things.

Next time you get upset and realize you have crossed the line make sure to apologize to the man after you calm down. Tell him you respect him.

Most women do not realize how much men need to feel respected.

@RageBabe just a thought here. It probably wouldn’t hurt to message him something along the lines of “Hey so so. I just want to let you know I did some deep self reflection and I take full responsibility for being in the wrong. I also totally understand and accept that you will likely ever contact me again. But I just wanted you to know that out of principle I apologize for how I acted. Don’t expect to ever talk again but I wanted you to know that.”

He might not thank you but he will be thankful to read that. Make it clear you are not after anything so that way your apology won’t come off as disingenuous.

The problem is men find that most women don’t respect them unless there is something in it for the woman. But there is a thing called “general principle”. That is just treating someone respectful out of the fact they’re a human being.

I can count the times on one hand I’ve had women treat me respectfully out of general principle. 99% of the time they were “respectful” only because there was something in it for them (they found me attractive, wanted money, favors, needed free counseling via friéndzone bs, wanted to look good in front of others, etc). They rarely if ever were kind or sincere just because it was the right thing to do.

I’m sure it’s the same way for this guy and too much of that can make men very resentful towards women. So that genuine message would go farther then you realize.

Friends argue. That's a thing with friendship. Have you tried to get a hold of him. If not, you should tell him how you feel about the situation. If you have tried getting a hold of him and he hasn't responded, maybe give it a couple days to let him cool off if he's upset with you.

Maybe you're just overthinking the worst. Do you tend to overthink a lot?

You could always wrote him a letter, and put your feelings on paper.

Why does he need to be the one that reaches out? If you want the friendship to work, then reach out to him, communicate what's on your mind and see if you guys can work things out. If he can't get past it, then move on.
