My boyfriend went to a bar with a female colleague after a work Christmas party and I feel upset about it?

Last night my boyfriend went to a works Christmas party. Afterwards, he went out with a female colleague that was at the party ( I don’t know who she is, or anything about her really) to a bar, this must have been at around 9pm.

This has made me feel insecure. We both agreed that having opposite sex friendships outside of during work hours is not something we’ll have.

Am I right to be concerned?

Don’t. Unless they went home together. Guys work with girls. Insecurity and jealousy drives them away. Better and safer to have open communication. When he has to hide, I went for lunch with so-and-so, that’s the start of a negative trend that leads to him having a separate life without you. One strategy with parties or after work drinks is to be the one that picks him up, or go out together right after. When his work girlfriends see and know you’re in the picture, you’re also better off.
