How do you react when you disagree with someone's opinion?

In real life, when I disagree with someone, I usually see that person face-to-face and I can observe him/her and listen to their arguments. They may or may not be justified. If they are justified and make sense, then I may rethink my arguments and why I believe that they are valid (or not). The conversation usually ends in a consensus or if I have the feeling that the opponent is wrong, I will check the internet for accuracy in their statement.

Here on GaG, it is a totally different story because most of those that I argue with are trolls and spammers that disagree just for the sake of spamming this site, just like this person here that created multiple accounts in the past.

Is this the best dynamic?

Note that his reply has been removed but in substance, it said the following (I make a screen print of conflicting issues):

"Most of the women in this world would be happy with this and are doing this right now hahah. D*****s. You're just brainwashed and single asf. This is what men want and expect from women, it's only these women that will be left procreating in the end".

That is why you can see my short and annoyed reply.

That is usually how I react to those spammers. I do have a very dry humor that I do not hesitate to use when appropriate. I tend to stay away from insults because they lead nowhere.

What if the other person is not justified and illogical in real life

Then I will try to make my opinion come across based on my experience or knowledge. If it fails, then I step down because it is useless to continue arguing. However, I will search the internet and eventually forward relevant data from serious sources that would endorse my opinion.

What if the person gets annoyed with you or you get annoyed with them?

Then I cut it short and leave the conversation.

How do you leave a conversation? I struggle to do it

Usually, I say "OK thank you for the interesting conversation" and make my way out of the conversation this way.

Yes, it is vain to further argue with them as they will never come to reason. I don't like to impose my views onto others. If they want to argue with me, then it will be a one-sided affair.

If insults, foul language or innuendo/sentences with double meanings start propagating, then I leave immediately. I do not tolerate either one.

Wish I was like that, but I try to piss the other person off by turning the argument against them.

I need to stop but I can't

Trying to upset the opponent is useless. What you may achieve is personal satisfaction but this is not constructive. All you will obtain is to get a reputation for being toxic or revengeful and the quality of the conversation will be near zero.

It does not make you weak if you abandon an argument but it makes you look wise because you know when to stop.

Yeah I do it for personal satisfaction. It's hard not to. I may need to find ways to avoid it

Sometimes I don't say anything, sometimes I indicate why I disagree

Telling them why I disagree... If there's no changing that person's mind, then I close the conversation because its pointless, simple as that. (Im open to changing my mind if the argument makes sense.)

I consider what the person said and either alter my view, modify my argument for, or try to understand the reason (s) for the person's opinion.
