My boyfriend invited me over to his house and his guy friend was over...

Question

His guy friend parked on his spot and there was no parking outside. When I called him he said, " Well I don't know what to tell you."

I think because I'm his girlfriend I should have the priority, but I feel like I was treated like a second class citizen!

Sure, I might be acting a little over the top, but I feel I should be the priority in his life over his friends.

So, I said, " I hope Bob is going to suck your d*** at night!"

With that being said I left!

What do you think" Am I right or wrong?

hmmn its an awkward situation all together there are rights and wrongs in this- and first I can relate why you're mad, its because he said 'well I don't know what to tell you" that phrase always is a bad phrase to use lol, he couldve been more caring and come outside to give you a kiss first and then suggest another parking spot for u, or may be be a loving boyfriend and offer to park somewhere for u, you guys couldve drove together looking for a spot, there's always a romantic way to do things even finding a simple parking spot lol, basically he couldve handled the situation better, may be offer to pick you up himself, or not invite you and the best friend over at the same time if you just wanted some alone time/romantic time with him...friendships and relationships should be separated and balanced

on the other hand, it was also wrong of you to get too angry about it and say the d*** part you couldve said something like 'way to be nice to your girlfriend :( ' or just be polite and openly talk about it with him after

i always tell myself this- just be an independent woman and always look for yourself don't rely on guys to do everything for you like finding parking spots even, just be a tough woman and people will respect you more

I understand why you'd be a little irritated, because it's annoying to have to park up the street and walk. But it's not THAT big of a deal. You hugely overreacted. It's not like you have to do this all the time, it was a one time deal, because his friend was visiting. So for this visit, his friend was the guest and took priority. And that makes perfect sense to me. Your boyfriend could have warned you ahead of time that if you were coming over, you might have to park up the street or around the corner a little. But that doesn't warrant you blowing up at him like that and throwing a tantrum. That's what most people call 'psycho girlfriend' behavior. That's the s.hit guys talk about in regards to their exes after their breakups. Do you really want to be that girl?

I can kind of see why you would be mad. Why would he expect you to come over if there is nowhere to park? Maybe he should have went with his friend to pick you up, or invited you over when his friend left?

I do think you over-reacted a bit. I would have just asked him why you were invited over if there was no parking. I think he was being a jerk for not really caring you had no where to park, especially since you drove to see him. If I go to see someone, I expect to be able to park somewhere.

I really don't know what else to say other than talk to him about what happened, and tell him that you want to have more respect from him. He doesn't really seem to respect you.

Girls saying that your boyfriend isn't being 'a man' because you think you're a princess and should be handed a parking spot?

You're clearly young and naiive if you're letting this bother you.

It's as simple as this - you came AFTER the friend. It would be rude of your boyfriend to ask his friend to move his car just for you. On top of that, chances are you're relationship won't last anyways BUT the friendship probably will. So really, whose worth it ?

This has NOTHING to do with being a man, this has everything to do with yet another girl who thinks the guy should bend backwards for her.

Let me ask you this, whens the last time you did something sweet for your boyfriend withouth expecting anything back?

Well, the comment that you made was a little uncalled for...funny, but uncalled for LOL.  But... I DO understand how you are upset.  When you mentioned to your boyfriend that there is no spot for you to park, his response was, "I don't know what to tell you."  He didn't make any room for you or any arrangements for you.  He could have been a Man and tell his friend to make room for you or take the initiative to help you but he didn't. Without the comment, I would have left too.  You deserve to be treated better by any Guy you are dating.

I think that if his friend was there first he should be allowed to park there. I get that you're upset but you are coming off as a bitch. Guys can have friends and a girlfriend. They are people that are important to him and it's not up to you who out ranks who. You are completely overreacting and using sex to make your case makes you look lame. Actually I can see why you would be annoyed. If his friend was already over and he knows he had taken the one parking spot available, why would he invite you over? And then not help you figure out where to park/ask his friend to hang out later? Although, unless you two have been seriously dating for years, I don't necessarily think you should feel like his number one priority. But besides that little statement I agree with you!
