I think it’s rude people you barely know, you haven’t even break the ice with them, and they feel comfortable even entitled asking personal questions pertaining to one’s personal life.
They don’t think their behavior is rude either. They usually think, you are the rude one if you set boundaries indirectly letting them know that it’s none their business, or if you lack the back bones and you were to feel obligated to share, they create their own narratives, or they think they have something on you.
You don’t send invitation to them about your business, randomly they already feel like they were invited, or include theirselves in there. You have a story to share, sorry that experienced was involved you in it, but you/(I) own that story too and it’s my memory too.
These people are toxic stay away from them. They are not to be trusted. It’s okay if they label you as difficult to get along with for wanting to keep things casually professional. People should try to understand someone’s pace and space.
You must be dealing with the typical Americans… !
