I don’t know if I love my boyfriend anymore. Advice?

Me (23F) and my Boyfriend (22M), have been dating for almost a year.
I recently went to an event, where I got to reconnect with some friends, and meet some new people.

While I was there, I met another guy (25M), and we really connected. It made me realise that I don’t really connect with my boyfriend, and he doesn’t comfort me the way I need to be comforted anymore.

After this first period of.. insecurity? I started loosing feelings for my current boyfriend. And now whenever he talks about the future, and how we’re going to have a happy family, and kids, I get extremely uncomfortable. But, I don’t want to break up with him. I still feel that underlying love, and I’m hoping it’ll come back, but I don’t know.

What should I do? I don’t want to hurt him.

Awh boo, that's a real tough spot to be in. Breaking up is never easy, especially when ya still care about the bloke.

Few things to think about though - is it fair to string him along hopelessly pining for you when your hearts not really in it? That ain't on.

And ya don't wanna end up trapped in a relationship feeling unfulfilled and wondering "what if" bout other guys. That road leads nowhere good too.

My advice would be have an honest chat with ya boyfriend. Lay it all out - the lost spark, doubts bout the future, meeting this new guy has ya confused. See how he takes it.

Maybe a break to think things through properly is best. Give ya both space to figure what ya really want. If after that ya still feel the same, might be time to let him go for his sake and yours too sheila.

But don't rush into anything - make sure it's what's right for you deep down before any big decisions. And let me know how the chat goes yeah? Hard times but it'll work out for the best, I'm sure of it.

You’re not gonna feel the same way every day as you did on the day you get married. Don’t ruin a relationship you’re happy with because of some temporary insecurity. If you really truly believe that this isn’t just a fleeting thought in your mind, then you should at least be forthright and take it up with your man.

You need to address the issue and tell him how you're feeling. Don't mention the guy you met. Is very possible to rekindle that love.
