I've had a crush on this girl for 3 years now and I've only talked to her for little less than a year. i told her i had a crush on her 2 weeks in and she first avoided the question but now she tells me she doesn't want a boyfriend or have crushes on anybody at the moment. i get extremely jealous when she looks at other dudes or when they try to talk to her. she's told me I've made her senior year her best year ever. there's also weeks where she's really happy and weeks where she's in a mood or sad but she never wants me to help her. and im the only person in school she talks to and enjoys being with. I've bought her a lot of things basically spoiling her cause its my way of showing love. school ends in 4 months what should i do?

Man, that's tricky. This girl clearly means a lot to you, but it seems like what you want and what she wants may not line up. A few things to consider:

- Her saying she doesn't want a boyfriend is a signal to back off the crushing and spoiling. Respect what she said at face value for now.

- Jealousy will destroy any chance. Trust that you're a good dude and she can make her own choices with other guys.

- Buying things won't make her like you - that may come off desperate. Focus on the friendship without strings or gifts expected in return.

My advice - appreciate the great friendship you have, but take a step back emotionally. Spend this last stretch of school just enjoying your time together without pressure for more. If she starts giving signs she's ready, great. If not, at least you ended on good terms. Don't nuke a close bond over unreturned feelings. There will be other fish! Keep your head up bro.
