No, not exactly. I can be as considerate, kind, attentive and affectionate as I want to, it was always more about catering to their needs and wasn't reciprocated in my relationships and friendships. If I had a bad day and needed someone for support or just help with something, they would never be there for me.

I managed somehow. If you've been self-reliant in many life aspects for so long, you learn how to lock all that shit away and deal with it on a better day. Not a good way of coping, but what else are you supposed to do, you know? In the end, cutting ties with those people was inevitable if I wanted to get into a healthier place.

I can honestly say I have never once been loved or cared for the same way I loved or cared for any of my partners not one. And that's not to say they were bad partners or anything but it still sucked because I had a lot of love, care, affection and the like to give but it felt like giving an ocean to someone and receiving a pond in return. And that wasn't necessarily their fault or anything I don't blame them that's just how they felt.

And it just seems as society continues to evolve and change people would rather stay single or be casual and fuck around with the same kinds of people that fucked them up in the first place, among other things that and finding someone who can match that same level and give you what you give them gets increasingly more difficult. As people go farther and farther away from that viewing it as bad or toxic, etc.

And lots of people claim to be this and that, give this and that and a bag of chips but most of them fall flat and that goes for all kinds of things friendships, relationships and everything in between.

But I suppose if anything it hardened me, changed me into a completely different person from how I was when I was younger. Basically now a days I have the mentality of fuck most people because all most people have done that I was close with have fucked me.

But in spite of that I have made good friends and I do still have hope for the future and my own love life eventually. Just takes time and being careful.

No. I love with everything I am, however I find I'm mostly a second thought. It's was usually about them. As a result I am not putting myself out there much anymore.
