My boyfriend has briefly mentioned a female friend before.
Just recently, I noticed she’d been trying to call him a lot and decided to bring it up.
I spoke to him about this. I never knew, but he told me she calls him several times a week. He says she’s having issues with her boyfriend and she speaks to him about that.
In all honesty I’m quite uncomfortable with this level of intimacy. Am I overreacting here?

If they are friends and you trust your boyfriend, what exactly problem do you have? You didn't even know that she calls him so often. And they don't meet personally.
tbh I really appreciate my friends' help over the last two months. But I know all spouses, and with some, we are also friends...
You can suggest him to create a meeting for you three in some restaurant. You can meet her and talk to her. It should also show her your boyfriend is with you and supports you.
I wouldn’t say you’re overreacting. Most people would be uncomfortable in this situation. They just haven’t been through it so they think otherwise. I mean if she’s calling him maybe 1-2 times a week i wouldn’t see a big deal w it. But several times a week? She needs to figure some of this out on her own, she’s an adult. I can almost guarantee if you had a male friend who was constantly calling you because of relationship problems he wouldn’t be ok w that.
No. She’s taken. Your boyfriend is taken. This is a fairly low risk situation.
