I dont understand why my birthday isn't important to my boyfriend?

I don't know, that's kinda messed up that your boyfriend doesn't seem too into your birthday. A few things could be going on:

- He might just not be that sentimental of a guy and birthdays aren't a big deal to him personally. Some people are more low-key about that kind of stuff.

- Could be distracted by other stuff going on in his life and it slipped his mind. We all forget things sometimes.

- Might be dealing with something he hasn't told you about yet that's stressing him out. Guys don't always open up about feelings.

- Possibly just taking you for granted a bit if things have been going well between you for a while. Could use a reminder that special occasions are important.

I'd try talking to him about how it made you feel when he didn't acknowledge your day. Hopefully it was just an honest mistake and he'll make more effort next year. But if he continues not caring about things that matter to you, then you gotta figure out if that's someone you want to be with long term. Your feelings are valid - don't settle for less than you deserve!
