For those in a relationship, what is the one worst thing your partner can do, which is over for you?

So in my previous question, I asked whether you would forgive a drunken partner who cheated on you, and two users said it isn't the worst thing that can happen in a relationship. Which was interesting and made me thing of possible general scenarios where it would be the end for me. For me I still think, cheating is the major thing. What is it for you?

With general I mean the normal things that happens to most users here. Not murder or committing a crime.

Cheating , if she cheats on me it’s pretty much over for me period , my ex cheated on me and I threw in the towel immediately I still love her because she is the mother of my children but I don’t think I can ever be in love with her like it use to be, it’s definitely going to take time. The thing is you can still love someone but it doesn’t mean you have to be with that someone My ex wife has been begging for me back ever since and at times I thought I could forgive her and give her another chance. but sadly I lt’s hard for me to forget , it haunts me , so what her and I had together prior , I don’t know if it would ever be the same , I guess only time will tell cuz I still Care about her and love her and lately she has been showing me that she is in love with me , and she admitted she made a huge mistake and claims she didn’t have sex with that guy , I want to believe her but it’s not easy , because in my mind she still cheated on me , even if she didn’t spread her legs for him , so I am stuck between a rock and a hard place , am not pushing her away , I just don’t know if I can fully give her 100 percent of my heart at this time , because of everything that’s been happening in my life now , I still consider her a great friend and things have been a lot better between us. , but for me to say that I am in love with her is hard to say at this time , even though we been having a lot of sex lately and she tells me she wants nobody else , it’s just hard for me to trust her completely. I guess I have a lot of walls up protecting myself from being hurt again , We both agreed to be FWB’s and take things slow , even though she keeps telling me she isn’t going anywhere , that I am the love of her life. Hearing her saying these words to me feels nice , but I told her actions mean a lot as well , sadly I still have my doubts , she said no matter what happens she is standing by my side and wants me to be happy , whether it’s with her or someone else. I did have sex with another girl after her and I split and she knows I did , and said she understands and isn’t holding it against me , she said she doesn’t need anyone else but me. And doesn’t want anyone else but me As for me , am not really looking for anyone else but if I do meet someone else, I don’t know what I would do to be honest, so I been nothing but honest with her and it seems her and I have been getting closer , being honest with each other , she confessed to me that it turns her on when another girl is interested in me , I just laugh and say why does that turn you on? I asked her what if I actually fucked another girl would
That turn you on? Then she gets quiet lol so again I don’t know what is going to happen with her and I but so far things have been better between us

I am glad things are working out for the better for your guys, especially when their are kids around. She seem to be very regretful and seem to still love you very much! What is it in your heart that you can't seem to let go, to be together with her? You say, you can't trust her fully and that is understandable but do you think thats the only reason for you? Do you think its fair to lead her on believing that you may someday take her back? From what I am receiving is that you espress those feelings to her, you sleep with her but you keep her on a distance so she can never fully move on. I'm not saying she will want to move on from you or even want another relationship, I am just saying that your actions make her believe something might happen and then if you find another women, you will move on and she can be totally devastated.

As for her turn on, she might be bs and hence don't want to open up due to your unknown reaction. Sex and sexuality questions are something most couple push away and avoid until further notice. Its something you are afraid to be transparent about and if you haven't done it early on, it will be extremly hard to bring on later. Then again, without communication you will not be able to move forward. If she gets quiet about you having another women, have an open and decent question about it. Maybe she will tell you about her lust and passion. Maybe its interesting for you and maybe not. Im saying get to know her deeply since you seem to care and love each other anyway.

I see what you are saying and yes I guess in a sense I am being stubborn about but like I said cheating is something that doesn’t really sit well with me , even though she keeps telling me she didn’t physically cheat on me , part of me wants to believe her but the other part of me doesn’t, My wife has always been hard headed , and doesn’t have a filter , she just says things the way she c’s things , As for me I am more laid back and tend to look at things from both perspectives before I open my mouth and state my opinion on things , So that’s pretty much the difference between my wife and I. I have always been attracted to submissive girls’ and my wife isn’t really the submissive type , but lately she has been to me , which is sadly giving me more doubts on whether she is being real with me or pretending. So that’s pretty much where I stand with her and still making her climb these walls protecting my heart. So far she has been doing a good job proving to me that she is in love with me and if it keeps continuing like it has been , I feel I will be able to open my heart up to her again. The truth is it was her fault for putting these walls up so it’s her job to break them down , My wife and I been together for a very long time so I have a lot of history with her , the fact that she is standing by my side even though she pretty much slipped she is still showing me she is in love with me , So I am looking at all the positives over the negatives for the most part , and praying her and I can make it til the end

I mean we're talking the absolute extremes here. There are tons of things I'd break up with someone for, or cave their face in with a blunt object for... but this one is the absolute peak. For those who hurt cats... death is too good for them.

There are many things but I guess it won't be like immediate reaction maybe from my side, I may try to tell him to improve, to rectify their mistakes.

But still two occasions can be deal breaker for me.
1) He clearly state, he doesn't want to change anything bad habit what I feel isn't healthy, like not having control over spending. Being irresponsible. Not thinking and caring about future. Clearly he states that he isn't interested in changing himself what I see as going to harm me and my children my family.

Or even if he doesn't clearly say but he isn't changing and I could see it that he isn't interested in changing. In this case I have rule of three. Means first time I tell gently, second time I show anger and third I'm not going to listen anything.

2) Second is cheating. If he cheats it's definitely over.

Hide some major stuff like taking some drugs even cheating is not acceptable. If someone cheats on you then you don't value your relationship. I don't know why people normalize the cheating issues.
