Should you pay your friends to help you out?

Personally I think it should be a you scratch my back I scratch yours kind of thing, but my friend is pretty picky on what he'll help with so I think if we just pay each other it still keeps it even. Like say he pays me, then I'm happy and I'll still know he's not going to help out, so there won't be the whole well I did this for you argument. I just pay someone else and everyone is happy.

Eh I don't know man, paying friends just seems kinda weird to me. Part of being boys is having each other's backs no matter what, you know? Like, real homies help each other out cuz that's what friends do.

I can understand why you'd think paying takes away arguments, but I feel like it could damage the friendship too. Makes it seem more like a business deal than brothers being there for each other.

My advice - just be straight with your boy. Tell him you've always got him covered, but you wanna feel like he's really got you too when it counts. Compromise works both ways.

If he's still being picky after that, then maybe find other friends you can truly rely on no questions asked. Cash shouldn't change loyalty between the squad, feel me? Just my two cents though - at the end of the day you do you bro!
