u +1 yI have disdain for people who get into an interracial relationship just so they can virtue signal and prove that they are not racist, or to get revenge on their racist parents. But if the motivations are not related to race, but just because they like their partner, then I really don't care. There are some additional hurdles with interracial relationships if the two partners grew up in different cultures, but every relationship has challenges.
I am Caucasian and I am marrying a Chinese woman in April.

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yI dated almost every race/ethnicity out there as a Latino guy in his 20s. And my relationships with these women are just like any other relationship I had before. People forget that you can find everything that you’re looking for in any race/ethnicity.

+1 yI was born from an interracial relationship and I'm in an interracial marriage myself. I think is absolutely wrong to fetishize about people's ethnicities but if you're truly in love with someone you need to be understanding and respectful of cultural differences and what people believe in.

Not everyone is attracted to different races and those that are should go for it. Both versions of relationships will just naturally exist and that's the way it should be in my opinion.

+1 yAs long as you are happy with the other person then who cares. I’ve dated a lot of minority of women in my life Probably more minority women than white women in total.
But I see a lot of people who are dating outside of their race to “prove something to society” nowadays. If that’s the case the relationship won’t last long. Not too many people will go that far for “progressive optics”. But some people do.
20 Reply 687 opinions shared on Relationships topic. Most of my relationships have been interracial, so I see no issue with it. I only have an issue with cases where someone dates a race because they feel they are the superior race and put them on a pedestal, like with Asian women wanting white men, or white women only wanting black men for sexual reasons (and I am black). Other than that I don't see a problem with 2 people of different races happening to come together and it sticks.

+1 yTotally against it... And I am only talking about marriages
Marriage is a bond between 2 families. Not just a selfish knot between 2 individuals.
It only adds to complications and odd / awkward / uncomfortable situations for everybody and also a confusion for the kids.
It gets hugely exacerbated when it is not just different ethnicity but different religion as well.
53 Reply- +1 y
So you're right that there can be complications with it at times, but that doesn't mean interracial relationships should be hindered, it just means the two families will have to put in some work to bond and understand the other cultures. And what a perfect opportunity for them to do that.
Now as far as religion goes, that is a very hard one and I would definitely say a NO to interfaith relationships - from my perspective as an imperfect Christian. I tend to have a strong attraction to Middle Eastern and Indian women but relationships with them are highly unlikely to work because of their religions and mine. - +1 y
Thank you @ManOnFire. We don't have to agree 100% but we are somewhat on the same path. And yes, the religion factor takes precedent over the ethnicity factor.
by the way, just for the lighter side, a good friend of broke up with his East Asian girlfriend only because everytime her family invited him for dinner, he would have to eat black colored duck eggs and boiled chicken feet. - +1 y
I am always cool with different perspectives and opinions. That's how we learn things and learn about people, what this country no longer wants with it's ridiculous Orwellian rules of "canceling" everybody who doesn't fall in lock step with their ideas. And this is coming from a black Democrat by the way.
Ha! I wouldn't like that every visit either but that's a very extreme reason to break up. I dated a south east Asian woman before who ate mostly her food a lot - which is okay and to be expected, but I still wanted my American food too lol.
I'm not against it, and I know I'm going to be called racist for this, but I'm only attracted to my own race. I can't help who I'm attracted to and I've only ever been attracted to girls of my own race. That's not to say that I don't find girls of other races pretty or physically attractive because I do, but I just can't see myself in a relationship with them and therefore they're not attractive to me in that sense.

+1 yI have no opinion other than I guess I would make assumptions, and be proven right or wrong without much care as it's only in my head internally: that they'd be more likely to be either liberal/progressive or to be conservative/mixed politics or mixed values. Ah well. 😀

I'd also assume that people will share at them a lot just because people are stare bears. Sigh. You know. Some people, just are the type to stare, 🫣
I was in one for 20 years. Depending on where we would go she would get some weird looks but other than that it was 100% normal compared to every other relationship I’ve had. To be able to be with someone for who they really are is most important anyways and if you care so much about what other people think you are a coward.

@katiesmuff so? did you ever mingled with the society nowadays? i promise you once they hit the middle school or high school the kid will hear all of them once people learn his/her father is black and mother is not, lucky if she is a girl but if he is boy, he is doomed he will hear that his mother is blacked or she is cock addicted whore. this is the modern society people created.

I live in good ole redneck south Florida and gave birth in 2005 to a girl who is biracial her sperm donor was black and she went to preschool, grammar school, high school, and now a freshman at Florida State University. Never once was there any racial issues, her friends have come from both black and white races along with probably all the other races with everyone getting along just fine. She currently is dating a nice fella who is also a college freshman. She has 3 younger brothers who are now all in school and we have no problems. My husband who is black and he birth father of the 3 boys, who adopted Alexis shortly after we married, is in international banking and I have never run into any issues with us or our children.
I suppose as long as there are assholes like yourself in this world racism will still exist to some extent, but it is less and less as every year passes by. - +1 y
@katiesmuff girl who do you think you are and calling me an asshole? did i said i was doing such things or something like that? racismis another thing but as long as there are people who doesn't know how to watch their mouth and not to piss off wrong persons, there will be more and more violence that's for sure.
The same way I feel about Gay marriage. I have no problem but don’t shove it down my throat.😂😂
No but For real I feel like some people make a huge deal about it (mainly online) and have to show it off when it really isn’t an issue, nor is it something that should be praised. At the end of the day we’re all just human.00 Reply7K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Just another relationship or marriage nothing wrong or special about them

Asker+1 yI didn't say its wrong, for me I feel that most people in interracial relationships are probably one of the bravest people ever, most of them receive hate even from family but they still choose to do it and to date outside their race, to me that's brave and beautiful, love knows no colour..
