4.6K opinions shared on Relationships topic. I say yes because my first relationship ended on good terms , we were young and it was a mutual decision to part ways , so if her and I ever reconnected and wanted to date again I would because her and I never had any harsh feelings between each other , sadly she is married with kids now , I did talk to her after a long time and reconnected. , and I can tell she still has feelings for me , but I was happy for her having a family so I told her it’s best just to remain friends and focus on her family, she cried and said her and I should be together but she is happy with her husband , and I was happy for her , even though I still have feelings for her as well , but I didn’t want to be a homewrecker , so I left her alone and moved on. But if things were different she would be in my arms for sure

It wasn't really a relationship but the first girl I really loved, only girl in fact. All we were, were friends but I did love her. Maybe I would hang with her again but I would never try a relationship with her again. She did something's I have forgiven at this point but lost any trust for a relationship. I heard years after losing contact that she thought of trying to reconnect for possible relationship and I was "no" I'm glad she didn't because I wouldn't have wanted to hurt her feelings by turning her down.

Anonymous(36-45)+1 yFor kicks and giggles, I can see myself giving him ANOTHER try. I put emphasis on ANOTHER because I gave him a million chances over the course of 9 years. He was my first and only and I did not want to move on although all he did was cheat.
Fast forward- I'm with someone else and am happy. However, sometimes I feel like if this doesn't work out- I might be dumb enough to see if the 1 year of me being done with my EX was enough for him to get his act togetrhr. Then again- why would I start back over with someone who didn't care for me the entire 9 years... This post is really for people to see how easy it is to waste your life for someone and then still question if it good to let go just to go back. Don't!!!

30 Reply 7.2K opinions shared on Relationships topic. LOL, no. She was a good girlfriend for a 15-year-old guy (which is what I was at the time), but obviously that was long time ago. I'm friends with a girlfriend I had almost 30 years ago, but I wouldn't try to get back together with her.

+1 yNope. I’ve heard 2nd love is far better than the 1st one. Looking forward to the 2nd love.
1st love is not supposed to be the last love.
10 Reply I would have to go back in the same frame of mind with the same young eyes and not mature eyes that I have now because she would look totally different and I might just go. Yikes! Was looking at your life. Do a kid's eyes compared to a grown up eyes is two different things. You go back and look at your life when you was a kid through your grown-up eyes everything will be different. So for the sake of argument no I'm good unless you give me the kids eyes to see her through, I'm straight
10 ReplyWell i never had a relationship i Just had sex, if you talk about my first fb which was like my girlfriend to be honest, then sure, why not i basically had half of my body count thank to her and knowing her our relationship would be full of womans.

+1 yNo. In the beginning it looked like we were compatible. But soon enough we both found out we weren't compatible at all. We both had our struggles and a lot to learn before we could love eachother. We had a nice time. but we both have gone our separate ways and it should stay that way.

Yes, I was very timid and shy when I was younger. My first few relationships were with girls I had huge crushes on. But I never got to show my true self, and they ended fast because I was unable to progress the relationships.

Anonymous(18-24)+1 yActually I have we first met in elementary and then she left the school without telling me she told the baseball kid who was crushing for her and he never told me. Years later during high school cooking during the laundry never ending homework she knocks on my door one day. the best ball pounding sex so far.
00 ReplyNope I'd rather stay in the moment, and be able to look back and remember.

+1 yNot a chance. I see all the things I don't want in a partner in her. It's the reason why we didn't work. I've been through that part of my life already. Don't need to go through it again.
10 Reply 689 opinions shared on Relationships topic. I wouldn't retry it, because she was not the right person to be with anyway. Although if I didn't have that experience I wouldn't have learned anything.

+1 yNope. If anything I'd do the opposite and skip out on it entirely. I was younger and very dumb. Ignored everything in my head and just followed what little was good.

why did you say no?
- +1 y
Because, it was romantic long distance and the only experience with a long distance relationship I had was familial with my mother. I thought it was going to be the same way. Ghosted, lied to, basically treated like garbage. I judged someone on the merits of someone else.
+1 yGood question! I believe I would! I think your first is always most memorable, lots of feelings/emotions, and a longing that somehow never goes away!😁
