Yeah, I usually do this because I’m not ready, don’t wanna be hurt, or protecting myself even if I’m into someone. For some reason they usually still noticed me and somehow into me nonetheless? 😅
I guess an example will be in college, I was still fresh out of a relationship and just wanna be like “boys free” and focus in school/internship. There was this really good looking new guy that all the girls in the same Greek life was super into… I never really give him much attention or initiate, but somehow he made it clear he knows who I was and found me on social media even though I never introduce myself, he will still seek me out to flirt with me, and always try to grab my attention. I was low key into him, but I always kept my distance since I wasn’t ready and didn’t really wanna start something I didn’t think I wanna get hurt… I feel kinda bad whenever I do this, but I was just protecting myself. I doubt he knew I was into him too lol. I doubt all the guys I keep my distance with knows I care or still care them because I’m just protecting myself.
I moved across the globe for 3 years when my ex and I broke up. I’m over it now and he lives maybe 30 min drive.
Danielle was a friend of a friend. I tried to be her friend, too. She wasn't around for a semester. I asked her what happened to her. She got upset for some reason, told me she wasn't my friend and made it sound like she didn't want to see me around. Any time I saw her, I'd leave the room, thinking she hated me. One day, she yelled loudly, "Fine, I don't want to see you either!", as if she actually wanted me around. Yes, I found her attractive, but that was also the time I tried the friends first before I bothered pursuing.
There was no strategy. I had no agenda. She told me I wasn't her friend, so I left her alone. I just felt I to be weird that she yelled that afterwards.
Yes. I didn't talk to her even though I had to see her every day. If she talked to me I responded in 1 word answers. I would never allow myself to be alone with her for fear of what she might try to allege. And even do this she still stalked me for 2 years.

Yes, when I was younger like 13-17, I didn’t know how to handle that attraction so I was freaked out and hiding from them.
I'm doing it now. It's not that I'm attracted to this person, but his appearance and hobby are very very very similar to an ex-crush. He's literally a doppelganger of him. 🥺 At first, I saw him on GGmaps, and oh my... I know sh*t will happen. I supposed I was fine, but today reminds me of "the heart". I did avoid looking at him while greeting at his work. It's not nice I know. Anyways, I'm still lucky because he doesn't seem to be interested in me. I don't know how this would end. I wish I will survive!
Yeah. I went out with a girl who was living in the same accommodation building when I was at uni. During the 'date', she told me about her long-distance boyfriend. I started avoiding and ignoring her afterwards because I could strongly feel my attraction towards her and her attraction towards me. I didn't want to ruin their relationship. She reached out to me at some point, but I didn't want to see her anymore. After uni, she went back to her boyfriend. When she posted a story on Instagram, I replied to it. She didn't reply back and she blocked me. End of the story.
Yes. I was uncomfortable with some of his behaviours, his selfishness, his cowardice and his occasional personal attacks on me and behind my back that mutual friends told me about. We tried again recently. I might’ve made a mistake in asking him out or I might not have. Nevertheless, I’ve reached a point where I can be with or be without him and be content.
Oh yes, I really liked a girl and the guy she ended up dating screwed me over, long story trust me he did, and I blocked them both on Facebook and did my best to avoid them as much as possible. She also got my number from a friend and tried to apologize, I ignored that text. Sadly I worked with them so was hard to avoid either of them completely. When she figured out I blocked her she was not happy. I did unblock her and then began the weirdest "relationship" I have ever had.
Ya when I was younger in HS. The ole blatantly look away whenever you see them, walking or getting as far as I can when I see them. I was obviously nervous. Eventually her friends were like dude wtf are you doing, she likes you too lol.
In the end she was my first girlfriend and she was very not good for me lol. I still kind of have a soft spot for her and wish her the best but she's definitely not in my future.
Why in the world would I do that? That's completely counterintuitive. I've never known any guy to do this, ever. Girls on the other hand..
Not me… I dive in head first. Why avoid when my goal is to get closer?
I was not sure whether or not I wanted to date them. It is not the best way to go about it.
Love no... attracted to yes. Sometimes we can be attracted to the wrong person that is unhealthy for us.
Only if I had been rejected by someone.
