Do men compliment women saying they’re beautiful & smart if it’s not true just to charm her into being with them?

A lot of guys compliment me with these things but I can’t help but wonder if it’s just standard things they say to all women who they want to get with?

I don't know about other guys, but if she's not beautiful and smart, I wouldn't tell her she is, even just to get into her pants.

However, for a long-time companion who needs the morale or emotional boost because she had a rough day or whatever, yeah, I'd say it for her.

One person I don't care about and plenty of actually beautiful and smart women out in the world vs one person I do care about who likely can't be replaced by anyone else.

I never say that at all, getting compliments off me can be rare lol. My personal view is that compliments are likely 90% fake and 10% good intentions and genuine.

Honestly, most guys will say anything to get closer to you but at least 25% (my guess/experience) probably mean it.

i am engaged to a very smart and beautiful woman, I compliment her a lot and mean every word. But I did talk to her about it and she understands I mean it and says she likes it.

Im sure they do and it's ridiculous because all he is doing is giving her a boosted intitlement complex. Which will lead to her utilizing the political privledges open to her to empower herself/put herself on a pedistal. For example I was falsely accused in college and she had police serve me an ex parte ppo which gave her power to have me arrested whenever she wanted.

That’s just one person, be careful not to misinterpret the whole world in the same way. Be adaptable and look at evidence on the contrary, it’s there.

That is what I was saying. You tell your female friends they are pretty and smart and you don't mean anything flirty by it. It's the same with men. We just say it because want to compliment them and that is it. We tell our male friends they look strapping in their new suit and that is it.

I just don't do false compliments and haven't yet thought a woman smart.

When I tell a girl that they are beautiful I usually follow it up with have a nice day and go on with what I was doing before I told her that. I want her to know that my only intention was to let her know she is pretty.

But what’s the motivating factor behind that? People don’t just do things for no reason, even if unaware.

if I think she is pretty I tell her. I guess if I have to have a motive it would be to make her smile or feel better. It kind of goes like this. “I hope you don’t mind me saying this but you are a beautiful woman, have a wonderful day.”

I'd say telling a woman she's beautiful is not something you do to a co-worker, neighbor, etc. It's something you say to flirt.
Calling a woman smart is not the same.
