I am a conservative man and I have never once cheated on a partner. I know what some guys SAY about their faithfulness, or lack of faithfulness, but I don't trust that their statements are true, so I have no way of comparing liberal and conservative men on this criterion.

I feel like it doesn’t really matter what type of man it is because both men are capable of cheating. The question really becomes, is how important is faithfulness to him? for me since I am religious, I would say, is he close enough to God to follow what God wants, and that includes being faithful to his wife.

I don't have an opinion. I don't know that there are even statistics on this really. I don't think politics plays a role, but I think certain underlying beliefs do. Now do any of those beliefs tie in with some political beliefs? Maybe. But I don't know. Really, I was interested in reading some people's opinions here. So I stopped in to say hi and read what people think.

I'd like to say conservative because of the culture of rejecting integrity in the pursuit of self indulgence on the right but I don't actually think that culture is as rampant as those of low integrity want everyone to believe. So, I'm going to say it's probably exactly equal.

This is a question that will have biased results. But from what I've learned through the years is that conservatives like having lasting relationships and care more for the traditional style. Versus liberals who date someone and sleep with others. They don't tend to make it a monogamous relationship and their connection to eachother is loose.

Despite each side looking to vilify the other the reality is people who are cheaters are cheaters. Period. There is no political, religious, racial, economic, or other metric which predisposes one toward infidelity than another.

1) Divorces don't occur just because of cheating
2) There are lots of leftists in red states
3) There are lots of non-leftists in blue states

Unless you have something other than self-reported data, I don't see how you can show either way that there is some correlation between political beliefs and infidelity, much less causation.

@SolitarySolace Being with more than one person in an open relationship is not cheating. That's playing by the rules. That's like asking who cheats more, American football players or soccer players, and rationalizing American football players cheat more, "because they tend to touch the ball with their hands more".

I know a lot of people probably voted with this illogical notion in their heads. But it's actually the opposite, where people who chose open relationships are agreeing to different rules rather than conservatives who refuse to change the rules, but still exhibit the same behavior (that breaks their traditional rules).
