4.6K opinions shared on Relationships topic. I ask myself if I can see myself with this person for the rest of my life , do we have a lot in common? Do we agree on a lot of the same things , Are they going to commit to me the same way I would commit them , Do they make me their top priority in their life. Do they remove selfishness for me the same way I do for them , Does she want to bring positive into my life , not negative. There are so many things that factor for me to even considering a commitment with a girl , Do I miss her when she is away , is she always on my mind , Do we share the same sexual compatibility. Main reason I don’t rush into committed relationships anymore. Most people are just infatuated with someone new without really looking at the big picture , Are we still going to want each other after the infatuation period runs dry? Is she really in it for the long haul or the short haul

+1 yI don’t think it could ever happen like that , and never has in my experience. Women have shown interest and dependent on me at the time I’m either receptive or not it’s never ever taken me by surprise. I don’t think my perception skills are better than anyone else’s so I think we would always get a sense of the direction things were headed before we got there and so would probably always understand how we would feel about it even if it wasn’t a binary response as either yes or no

1.4K opinions shared on Relationships topic. It’s not only one thought. How long do I know this person for? Do I feel the same way? Do I see myself with him in the future? Do I say yes coz I’m bored? Or do I say no coz he’s not my type? Or coz I can’t commit? If I have more questions than answers, then I don’t wanna waste their time.

Aim: Sharing insights on first impressions when someone openly states wanting a relationship.
Oh, the thrill of someone laying their cards on the table! 🥳 When someone marches up and declares they want a relationship with you, it's like someone turning on a spotlight while you're casually sipping your coffee. First thought? "Whoa, that's bold!" Then the brain kicks into overdrive analyzing: Are they serious or just charmed by my irresistible persona? It's a mix of flattered, surprised, and a little detective work trying to figure out their angle. But hey, honesty right from the start can be pretty refreshing, don't you think? It's like skipping the small talk and diving right into the deep end. What's your take on this? Have you ever had someone come on strong like that? Let's dish! 💬😉11 Reply- +1 y

Is there a way out?

+1 yyears back it was "What's wrong with them..."
at one point... I'd come up with a reason why it's not a good idea.
Eventually, I gave in, and I'm married and much better. I feel for the other females that I treated them so harshly, and my wife as well. I was a difficult nut...

+1 yI’ve never had anyone- friend or romantic- have the audacity to just randomly approach me stating they “want a relationship”. Normally relationships grow based on shared values or interests. IF this were to occur, I suspect their intentions to be inherently selfish because their desire to connect with me is not based on interests or values, but rather on my physical appearance or perceived social status. In which case I’d tell them to fuck off.
00 Reply I'm married, let me work that into conversation.
"Hey the weather is nice."
"Yeah my husband was just saying that."

Does not seem to deter women from a married man though. Just saying.
Am I single? If yes, do I know this person well? If no, slight panic and damage control. If yes, I ask myself if I'm attracted to them and if I think dating them would be fun. If no, slight panic and damage control. If yes, set up first date.

+1 yIf i can see a future with them. I won’t get in a relationship with someone unless i can already see myself loving them someday, having kids, marrying, sex, etc

+1 yWell first I’d asses whether they’re my type. If not I’d tell them I’m too busy or something. If they are, I’d still tell them I’m busy. I don’t do relationship or female friends. If they persist I’d try to find them someone else to go after.

I've had guys and girls ask me out on a date first then give me their number
- +1 y
I guess it doesn't matter. I usually ask for their number and say I'll call them a little later. I just think I jump ahead at times. Ask for a number and I haven't even asked their name yet. Lol I don't know, I used to cold approach girls all the time at the mall or the grocery store. Don't think I ever landed a number, so I always look back on what I could have done wrong.
- +1 y
I think most people just ask for a number usually.
- +1 y
Yeah keeping it simple works far better than anything complicated and pick up lines and stuff.
- +1 y
Yeah asking if they're in a relationship is probably a good idea.
- +1 y
I always thought it was weird to just walk up and ask for a number without any small talk first asking about them. I guess it's obvious that you'll get into that later though. I pretty much cut to the chase nowadays and just ask if they're seeing anyone then ask for a number if they're not. I overthink everything though lol

You want a bit of small talk. A compliment, maybe some flirting first.
+1 yNow that i am married. I'm taken can't help you there. Before I was married why
