How do I know if my boyfriend is the one?

After the first excitement of the relationship goes, sometimes I wonder if there is a better option for me besides him. I love him so much. I am just scared.

I shared my feelings with my friend. My friend who will get married in a couple of months says that that feeling will always be there, important thing is the love. Do you agree?

@ephedrine It's simple. Let me tell you how. Write out the type of relationship you want. What you really want. Then ask yourself this: What 2 people naturally create this type of relationship? The man that naturally fits in that is the one.

If he is the guy that naturally fits in your ideal relationship, he is the one. If he is willing and desiring to grow into the person who naturally fits into your ideal relationship then he is the one. The one is just a consciousness. Your ideal relationship is the joining of two consciousness that naturally create your ideal relationship.

People cause bad relationships. A relationship is always the product of the two people and who they really are. That feeling your friend told you about is bullshit.

When you know what you want and you have exactly what you want, that feeling is nonexistent.

Being scared is normal. Being concerned that the person you Love might leave is normal. Wondering if there's a better option out there is not so normal in my own opinion. I decided my Husband was going to be my Husband way before we got married I just knew this was my forever person, my Husband and the future father of our babies and I can't imagine anyone else as my life partner. I never wondered if there was a better option he's my better option and for me if it wasn't him it wasn't going to be anyone else.

If you're still wondering I would question that. I'm sure there's a reason why you're still wondering.

There is no “the one.” And there is always a “better” option. It’s all nonsense. Approaching a relationship with those in mind will lead you to never being satisfied in a relationship. Does he treat you well? Do you have the same values? Do your goals match? Love isn’t that tingly feeling, love is a choice, it’s action, it’s a virtue. There is always someone better for you... for him as well. Question is, do you want to keep looking? There's no such a thing as fated soulmate. Romance books are all lies. Some people fit us better than others. But if you decide to be with him, even if someone "better" comes, you have to stay with your boyfriend if you marry him and make that commitment. If you are questioning it you are not in love with him, you just like him. When I was in real love with someone he was the only person I wanted to be with and I thought we matched perfectly. You usually know after 2 years if you want to spend your life with them or not and if you don't know he is defo not the one for you.
