I would say they are more likely to think differently about you months after. But that might not be a good or bad thing.

I have broken up with someone I really liked and cared about in the weeks following I thought about her a lot... but months later when I thought about her, it was not with regret. Some people are just not good for you, and you do not realize that without time and space away from it.

Then there were women that I broke up with, and really did not think much about it at the time. Then months later I thought about some of the nice things they did for me, and how I kind of miss them.

But just because I thought about them months later, did not mean I though more or less favorably of them. Some people are just really fun and entertaining but are terrible to date.
