I used to belong to a gym when I was younger. It was before Arnold came to America so Weight training was not very popular. There were 4 or 5 guys that trained there. All were in their 20s a d were pretty ripped. They all drove muscle cars and had hot girlfriends. These guys took the time to help a fat geeky adolescent and taught me the right way to train and what to eat. They encouraged me every time I met a goal or started to look good. Later they fave me advice about school and girls and other stuff. They really were the big brother I never had. I have not seen these guts in many years but I really owe them a lot for their interest in me.
I learned the truth through experience alone. Almost everything i ever learned from female family members and friends was bold faced lies. Almost everything i ever learned from male family members and friends was plainly jaded or weighted by hyperbole or shrouded in shame.
I’m old and it was the midwest. I was set up for failure from the get. Ell oh ell!
Female friends have always steered me in the right direction. I learned a long time ago to ignore online advice especially any coming from men.
My best friend. She helped get me and my boyfriend back together when we fell out.

That would be my father, may he rest in peace. Taught me lots of things.
Honestly I haven't really had any advice. I just picked up things on my own and consider myself relatively wise when it comes to handling scenarios in a relationship. Parents never talked about it, friends always did their own thing and we never really talked about what we were up to in that aspect, etc.
Probably my closest sister. Me and her have talked about dating since I was a teen, everyone else never talked to me about that. I was never allowed to date when I was younger, but we still talked about it regardless.
My family. They really don't need to say much. The example they set speaks for itself. My parents were married almost 40 years., till my father's death. And I have 4 sisters, all married 37, years., 31 years., 30yrs., and 19 years. Respectively. And most importantly, they all are still married.
People usually come to me. I myself have always taken a bit of common sense, a sliver for not following my parents mistakes, and the rest was listening to my gut.
Actually, a much older member of GaG (RIP) was very honest with me years ago when GaG has just started. Everyone else seemed to have vested interest in advising one way or another.
I’ve listened to relationship advice and I’ve read it , but I’ve always followed my gut , mostly because I don’t want to depend on anyone but me and I know myself better than anyone.
I guess friends. I never tell my family any of my problems because they're just not good at that type of support 😊
My nana was at first but overtime after all the shitty experiences I’ve gone through with women I’ve given up on women entirely so I have no need for relationship advice.
As far as specific people are concerned, the best relationship advice I've received as been from my pastor.
No one, I have no one in my life to give me relationship advice
my actual experience in relationships...
Myself because I never take relationship advice from anyone because no one would take it seriously as me.
Dam. This poll tells me we need more parents involved with their kids. Mine was my dad no doubt
Unlike my parents, my sister dates in the same time I do. She knows how it works nowadays.
Grandpa told me to marry my best friend, we live together, aren't married but very happy
My mom and my best friend.
