My partner of four years whom I live with didn't even try to get the day off from work to go to my nursing school graduation until I gave him a look when he said he had to work that day. Your thoughts cuz I'm losing my mind over here.

Like did he even try asking his boss or putting in for time off way ahead? Or did he just assume he couldn't take the day and not bother asking till you got mad? I dunno, if it was me I'd be having a serious talk. Like does he even realize how important this was for you? You deserve someone who wants to celebrate your successes without you having to nag them into it. I'd be considering if he's really there for you like a partner should be. He said he told his boss but claims he thought it was next week not this coming week, which I'll give a little on that but my point is that when he realized it was this week he just nonchalantly said I might have to work, there was no attempt or response that showed he was going to try, not even a slight panic of let me text my boss. This man has been supportive of me this whole time, I'm dumfounded and disappointed. Now he's all sad and trying to be more helpful, but no apology. He took the day but im not happy, he only endured he was off after realizing it's a big deal, how could he not. I don't know what to do with this. It makes me rethink our relationship. I'm in shock. I don't understand the response, how did he think I would respond positively.

Even if he thought it was next week at first, as soon as he found out it was THIS week he should have been falling all over himself to get that day off. My 8 year old said he would sneak out school to be there lol obviously I absolutely told him not to do that but my point is a. 8 year old knows how important it is and wants to be there. My supposed husband could care less. It saddens me and makes me feel like I don't have a husband

RN. And now he's apologizing for being selfish and inconsiderate, why after the fact? I am having a hard time feeling happy during a time I should be ecstatic. He has helped me this whole time, I am very disappointed for this sudden change up. It's almost as if he's jealous or something

I have gone to all of his tournaments when asked and am enthusiastic to do so for the love of my partner, to be supportive, even when these are tournaments that don't generate money. I am a RN graduate, I have a child and work full time in addition to helping my partner with any and all need, my partner who will only benefit
from my success. It isn't a big deal it's a huge deal
