I am currently trying to lose 8 kg because one of my girls ways of showing affection is through food. I approached her. If it wasn't for that, we would not have talked. I encourage people to go out of their way to try and find someone.

But remember. That quote "when you least expect it" can apply to almost anything. The good and bad. A friend of mine had the hilarious misfortune of a pigeon taking a poo on his shoulder, that bird was mid flight too. My friend got screwed over by nature when he least expected it.

In the city there are cats that hunt these pigeons. Not to avenge my friend, but because their instinct to survive, to hunt. They are stealthy animals, there is an off chance that a pigeon will randomly land or walk right in front of the cat, because the pigeon didn't see the cat in the first place. A free meal, out of the blue, when it least expected it. But cats, will actively stalk and go after that prey. They're not going to wait for that lucky moment to happen, they're going to increase their luck by actively going to look for it.

In dating, for us, it's no different. It can happen that you bump into him or her while shopping or on the train. But I wouldn't wait for that to happen and instead actively try to look for a partner, if a partner is that you desire. That said, not all person who'll say yes to your advances will be a good partner, that comes with experience and time.
