Which is worse, selfish cheaters or vengeful cheaters (aka revenge affairs, cheating back)?

A couple relatives in my family cheated on each other. The first cheater did it for whatever selfish reasons they had and got caught. Meanwhile the 2nd cheater did it out of revenge, in anger and it was all planned out, calculated with full intention of hurting them.

If you had to take your pick, which cheater would be worse? The selfish cheater or the vengeful cheater?

They're both bad but I find vengeful ones more laughable.

Usually though they don't date people like me who would laugh at them - they target victims who struggle with abandonment because they're who vengeful abandonment works best on.

My fave is when the sidepiece tries to be friends. Haplened with mine, and she even wanted to stand around outside my ex's work to mock him together. It was so cringe. She was talking like a junior high girl, not a married woman twice my and my ex's age.

He had poor taste but it was a wiiiild time texting her whilst enjoying wine in a hot bath. It was very cathartic, lol.

Depends on if the original cheater did so with the intent of hurting the partner. If so they are more equal. If not they're still foul but doing something with the sole intent to cause harm especially under the guise of reconciliation is worse.

The common denominator here is 'Cheater' There is no level of cheating I find acceptable, therefore unable to choose.

I wouldn't hang around to find out which was worse.
