I'm not a stickler for being exactly on time. But it should be within reason. If they are more than 10 minutes late on a regular basis, I won't be happy about it.

The woman I dated last summer was like that. She was always at least 10-15 minutes late. Like WTF? Her time is so much more valuable than mine? I'm supposed to just wait for her EVERY time we meet somewhere? To me that is super rude. I told her so, but it seemed to go right over her head.

    2:00 means 2:00, not 2:15.

To me, 2:00 means 1:55. If I get there at 1:59 I feel like I'm late.

It's not THAT important to me, but if we agree to be somewhere at a certain time, I'd to make reasonable efforts to stick to that.

Like, I would generally consider someone arriving within 5 minutes to a date to be on time. Don't make me wait 10-15 minutes though, because that starts to be disrespectful.

The only time I insist on sticking to firm times is if there's a movie starting, or we have a table reserved or something. Other people's hard schedule/deadlines are important to follow.

Depends on the case/event we are suppose to attend. I’m usually not a late person but there are circumstances. My partner procrastinates a lot bit I’ve learn to just lie to him about our get ready times.

Pretty important. I mean. It shows you are a priority. But if there is good reason and its not all the time then good communication can be as good as punctuality.

  • Ah, the tick-tock of the love clock! Punctuality in a relationship is like the spice in your favorite dish – it's essential but shouldn't overpower everything else. Being on time shows respect and care for each other's schedules and feelings. It says, "I value you and our time together enough to not keep you waiting." However, life happens, and sometimes tardiness is out of our control. As long as it's not a chronic issue that leaves one feeling neglected or undervalued, a little flexibility and understanding can go a long way. Balance is key. After all, the moments shared are more precious than the exact timing. But hey, consistently keeping someone waiting? That might just be a red flag doing a samba right in front of you. Keep it spicy, but punctual! 😉

I've been late to dates sometimes, but I always keep my partner or my date in the loop and let them know what's going on. I've never been more than an hour late and I would tell them when I leave so they can time it to meet me.

Extremely. It’s a sign of respect. People who are habitually late don’t respect others. I don’t tolerate disrespect from anyone anymore.

Important enough. I don’t like to keep my man waiting unless there’s something that can’t be helped and I expect the same if him.

Punctuality is important, but almost all of the women I've known are chronically late... so I've gotten used to it.

Very! As i am Punctual too (most of the times), unless something serious came up and i had been hold from reaching the point B in time.
If i'm Not punctual that means i' not Serious as i will tend to "leave for later" what i can do... Today, Now, In This Moment! So being late also can become : "that can wait, she can wait, that stuff can wait" i can be lazy too, which is Not my Forte Moment.

Intent matters. My girlfriend always intends to be here ASAP, so if she's late I know that it's not because she wants to be or is chronically late. She can take anywhere freon 15 to 45 minutes in the shower and before she moved in, she always took 15 minute showers to minimize the time it took before she could come over.

    Case by case.
If we have some kind of s reservation or time restriction like when seeing a movie then yes it's very important.

If it's a spontaneous get together on a lazy Sunday then I don't really care

It’s important to know when each will get there, you don’t really want to arrive too early. Knowing when the other is going to arrive, means you can time your arrival to match them.

I am very likely the most travelled person you know, if this can be considered knowing someone. I have been to all 7 continents and dozens of countries. I also have 3 children. My kids are important to me, more-so than travel.

since... it was just there, and we were both punctual, I guess I can't really tell about how would it be if we had not had it

I'm pretty punctual, so I would find it to be an important thing. But, is it something that will be a deal breaker? No.
