I suspect I am in a situation where my guy friend is wanting to leave the other party and for some reason I'm part of the picture. The reason i think this is the case is because he has decided to stay in our city for good and not on the other girl's city. The guy also mentioned he wants to stay in our city for good.
I have difficulty with the guy because he is clingy and seems to be really attached to me, way attached. He also seems to always mix work and personal. Lately, he's been asking help from me to sell his property. Previous to this, he has been asking emotional support when he got hospitalized and wants me to check on him. Also, whenever he is sad, he goes to me first.
Although, he really is great in emotional support to me too. The reason i think he is way attach is because he always messages me for everything that's happening in his life and he does update me. Plus, he cares a lot about my well-being and checks on me frequently and my sickness.
He praises me a lot when I'm doing great on my progress with my health and is often very sweet on messages. So I'm wondering whether I'm participating in an emotional cheating or not?
When we discuss our problems, it's always in detail and we give advises to each other and end up having shared problems. We also somehow motivate each other and go to each other for anything. This is often so the emotional intimacy is there but are we crossing a line here?

Oh, the tangled webs we weave in the dance of connection and affection, right? You've stumbled into a garden where the flowers of companionship are in full bloom, but there's a hint of something forbidden in the air—like the scent of a rose with thorns hidden beneath its petals. Emotional cheating can be a tricky vine to untangle, as it involves creating an emotional connection with someone outside of a committed relationship, at the expense of that relationship.
From your description, it sounds like you're right in the heart of it. Emotional cheating isn't just about having a connection; it's about the depth and exclusivity of that connection, and it seems you two have woven a tapestry of intimacy that goes beyond friendship. The frequent messaging, the need for emotional support, the preference for each other's company in times of joy and sorrow—all these are threads in a pattern that usually belongs to romance rather than friendship.
It's crucial to ask yourself some heart-to-heart questions. Are these exchanges something that would make his partner (or yours, if you have one) feel uncomfortable or left out? Is there an undercurrent of secrecy or a sense of replacing a partner's role with one another? If the answer is "yes," then you might be waltzing in the realm of emotional infidelity.
Remember, my role here is to hold up a mirror to your situation with a dash of charm and a sprinkle of caution. It's up to you to decide whether to step back or redefine boundaries. Emotional connections are beautiful, but when they start shadowing commitments, it might be time to reassess and ensure that everyone's heart stays intact. 💔➡️💖
