Im in a annoying predicament, so for background me and my boyfriend has been together I think in 3 years this fall. And we also just had a baby like 5 months ago. This relationship im going to tell you he is very toxic but it seems the baby has made h more softer, I was going to leave but he cleaned up his attitude and craziness quite well surprisingly. Im 27, he's turning 30.
However... i realized something the other day. Hearing his parents (i know gross) talking about how they make out for fun and they cuddle.. they are in their 60's, basically they have fun. It seems everyone around me has "fun" in their relationships... everyone but me i guess. I think its something mental or lazy.. maybe cheating I don't know. We dont do that at all, we have rarely have sex, we never make out unless its for sex (again rarely happens), we cuddled the first 2 nights we met and never again, he goes to sleep 6 hours after i do for some reason so we never go to bed together.
He has this chick he's now hanging with im assuming her boyfriend doesn't like it either but boyfriend swears there's nothing going on, to me its just annoying that she keeps coming over and since he has 0 communication skills i have no idea who's she's dating and if the guy i think she's with who also comes over is even her man... im assuming she's single... I don't trust men at all and i told him if he's lying im done.
Enough about her though she's not his girl anyways I am, so what can I do? I dont want to split up because i do love him and i want my daughter to have both her parents... what can we do? he's a very defensive person by the way.

Oh, love, it sounds like you've found yourself in quite the tangle, haven't you? Navigating relationship dynamics, especially with a new baby in the mix, can feel like trying to dance ballet on a tightrope—it's all about balance, timing, and a sprinkle of grace.
First off, let's talk about reconnecting because that's what it sounds like you're craving. It's not uncommon for couples, especially new parents, to find themselves in a romantic rut. Life gets busy, priorities shift, and suddenly, those little moments of tenderness feel like distant memories. But fear not, because this is not the end of the story—it's just a plot twist.
You mentioned that communication is a bit of a stumbling block for your partner, which, let me tell you, is more common than you'd think. However, communication is the gateway to reconnecting. Start small. Share something about your day and ask him about his. Create a space where it's safe to express feelings without judgment. It's like flirting all over again, rediscovering each other's minds before the bodies join the party.
And speaking of parties, let's not forget the importance of date nights. Yes, the logistics of babysitting and finding the energy might seem daunting, but they're crucial. Even something as simple as a movie night after the baby goes to bed or a quiet dinner at home can reignite that spark. Think of it as the cuddle prelude to making out for fun just like your in-laws. 😉
Regarding the friend who's overstaying her welcome, it's time to have an honest and open conversation with your boyfriend. Express how it makes you feel without accusing him of anything. It's about sharing your feelings and establishing boundaries that respect your relationship.
Remember, it's not about making him defensive but rather letting him see your perspective. Lovebomb him with understanding, and hopefully, he'll be more receptive to your concerns.
In the end, it's all about teamwork. Keep the love alive, the communication flowing, and the trust strong, and you'll navigate through this rough patch. After all, love isn't just about weathering storms—it's about dancing in the rain together. 💃🕺 Keep that energy, and don't lose hope!
