My boyfriend broke up with me, becouse people were making fun of our relationship. Is it understandable?

We have been together for 1 year, but most of that time only few people knew about it. We didn't share any photos and mostly were meeting in each others house. Once i shared a photo of us kissing and it started to get worse... His friends started making fun of him just becouse im taller than him... I thought it will be okay and we will handle it, but after some time he decided to break Up with me. He said that its too much for him, and he realized how weird we look together. This happened few months Ago so im pretty much over it. I just wanted to know your opinion on this.

That shows how Weak it is... That man "boy" is Not a Leader, that is a Follower/Do'er... He won't be able Later in Life to Hold the "reins" of a Home & Family and sadly that would be a "lost soul" in a sea of Deceit... it wouldn't know how to HOLD ON TO SOMEONE, Nor what would be his Next move, or what Path to choose in life... so i'm afraid that you might be Better off... At 17 i was working my @ss off, and i was Pushing through life, as being in Orphanage all my pre-teen-adolescent life, that taught me, that the only way is Forward, no room for sorrow, simping, whimping... just push through! He was young, indeed, but i'm sure His own brain should have done the thinking for him, not someone else's (you)... Because you SEEN him as a Boyfriend, A matching Soul, A friend, a Lover.. You didn't care that he was, short, skinny/fat, ugly/beautiful, no money/house, etc... but he didn't Realise that, he was just "listening" to what "others say", and he Chosen the Look (the way others see him), and him feeling the embarrassement of that has chosen the "easy way out"... and... He Lost! 🤷‍♂️

A more mature man would have felt like a rock star to be with someone as awesome as you and would have defended you.

It sounds like you are mature enough to understand this stuff and to not let it harm your self esteem. I commend you.

I also commend you for having a relationship. Keep up the search. You'll find a guy who will treasure you and rock your world.

At your age, you might have better luck with guys in their mid to later 20s who have been out in the world and whose brains have fully developed.

You bringing it up months later might be a sign that you are probably not fully over it but it doesn't matter, it seems like maybe the words of people around him got the best of him which in a unrelatable form of way I can understand him because people are different but I think his mistake was not standing up for himself and his relationship when he should've, he allowed them to clown him so they only continued to do so, he should've cut that cord at the start and stood firm to his choices cause things like this could have ruined something wonderful for him, the dude has some maturing to do and needs self improvement.

Personally height is just not an issue, I’ve dated shorter and taller. For me it’s the level of confidence a person has, you need that at times to deal with others who may make comments about a relationship.

it is a level of maturity that he needs to grow in to ( pun intended).

The more you date, the more you realise little things like height, hair colour, skin colour etc do not matter. Having fun, enjoying Life is what it’s important (and good sex tbh).

If he broke with you because of that, you're better off without him. Men who really love their girls will not break up because of someone else's opinion and will stand up for who they've chosen. If he didn't do it and broke up, then he's still a boy and has a lot to grow.

It's understandable in the sense that you're young (so I assume he is as well). And young people tend to care what other people think more. But is it understandable for a committed relationship? Not at all! If he broke up with you over this hang-up, this is on him, and he did you a favor. Man or woman, you don't want to be with anyone that is anything but PROUD to call you their partner.

Unfortunately, that's how it is when you're young. Too much of it revolves around completely unimportant things. I can only say from my own experience that it gets better. As soon as you and those around you get older, all of these things are completely unimportant 🙈
