My husband and I (both 32 years old) have two sons. Their ages are 7 and 5. We've been married for 10 years but unlike every love story, this was really a bargain in the beginning. He was an exchange student at the time and I agreed to being his petitioner. We didn't do a religious ceremony nor anything fancy. It was rather with a Registrar General, easy and quickest.
Overtime what was suppose to be a bargain turned into love, we had our two kids and the rest is history. We were thinking about doing a romantic trip since we haven't really gone out on vacation nor any excursions before. Since this was originally a deal and I never experienced the traditional proposal and romantic gestures (I don't know what that's like); is it too late to do something similar now that we're married and really came to loving each other?
I feel like late for the race. Many of my friends talk about romantic trips, the day their man proposed and all those gestures done... everything obviously before marriage and I missed out on all that. I missed out on a romantic wedding too. We ended up loving each other about 2 years after the marriage. Is it too late?
