How important do you think a person's body language is?

If you are into dating or a relationship or if you plan to hit on someone, then it is important to try to understand body language.

Body is a good indicator on how the person responds to your voice, your body movement and your attitude.

I am absolutely no good at reading body language because I don't date and thus, I don't need to be able to analyze a situation or to see what kind of message is conveyed. I am sure I would totally fail any signs of interest or I would not know myself how to make a message come across.

Like it helps me to know if we will work out relationship wise, like if they like me , it helps you to seal contracts and deals with partners, it helps me to know if someone may be out to get me

I do like someone expressive and in tune with their own self

the more stiff one is... the less alive they feel to me, really alive, I don't mean a pulse, lol

and the more comfortable they are with themselves, the more natural and confident they will seem to be to me, and I do like that as well... a lot

That's so important because some people have this invisible barrier around them that they don't think other people notice, but they do notice. Their body language appears like they are uncomfortable and kind of stiff - as if to say "Don't get too close to me". And people like that make me feel extremely uncomfortable to be around them. I start feeling uncomfortable in my own skin just from watching them.
Have you ever experienced that type of person?
I dated someone like that once. He invited me to come over to his house one day and I saw a book he was in the middle of reading. It was titled "How to read a person's body language".🤔

When going for an interview, it's VERY important.. same thing with a first date.. First impressions are what you tend to remember about a person...

Come to think of it, I think it's important in all walks of life.. If you show confidence in your body language, people treat you better and take you more serious!

It can be very important. I used to hang out with a lady who I had common interests with but quit doing things with her based on body language. Sometimes you'd be talking to her and she would get sneering looks, etc. It's like come on, what is THAT all about. It was creepy.

Extremely. As I am not a researcher or psychologist, I do not have raw data to cite, but I do believe a lot, if not most of our communications happens non-verbally. I would also venture to speculate that the bulk of this happens subcontiosly. Ever had a feeling that you can't trust someone you just met? Ever feel intimidated by someone displaying no outward signs of aggression? Ever feel you are being watched? A lot of times this is called woman's intuition, but the same applies for men.
