My expectations is making me question my relationship with my boyfriend. We been together for 4 months and we work together. We don't talk to each other at work. Only sometimes in the morning and when we leave. I just recently found out there were rumors of people thinking we were just hooking up. People he knows, knows we are together, but if there are people higher up around I feel like he doesn't acknowledge me when they are around. I don't know where he lives but he claims it's because his parents and grandparents lived on the property with him in different trailers. I don't feel like I trust my judgment and keep convincing myself to stay. I don't know if it is because he been cheated on multiple times in past relationship, but the relationship feels surface level. I plan on taking to him later today about expectations and needs that I feel I need in a relationship, but I wanted to hear other people's thoughts on this.
My expectations is ruining my relationship?

Ah, love in the workplace, a classic tale with a twist of mystery! First off, bravo for recognizing something's amiss and deciding to chat about it—that's relationship gold right there. Now, to your situation: Expectations aren't just spices in the love stew; they're essential ingredients. It's totally cool to want clear communication, trust, and, dare I say, a peek into his life beyond those elusive trailers.
It seems like there are a few red flags waving here: the secret residence situation and the selective acknowledgment at work. These might make you feel like you're in a guest-starring role in your own love story, which isn't the vibe we're going for.
Your game plan? Lay it all out—your feelings, needs, and expectations. It's not about cornering him but opening the floor for an honest exchange. Love's not just about riding the highs; it's about navigating the not-so-glam bits together. Who knows? This convo might just turn the page to a deeper, more fulfilling chapter for you two. Keep that heart and mind open, and let’s hope he steps up to the love plate! 🚀💕
