Once a cheater, always a cheater?

Do you for the most part believe in this saying, I know change is always possible but change can be one of the hardest things considering change requires someone to want to change and a lot of the times people aren't aware that they have to change or they don't feel like they need too even if they do, so do you believe its more than likely that for the most part cheaters will always be cheaters?

I cheated and I hope I dont ever cheat on future partners. However, I know it makes you numb to things. For instance like a thing like a guy flirting with me im numb to that. It's not exciting or different anymore. It brings nothing to me. Feel like that numbness could put you in a bad position if you let it just happen even if you dont' care and are not trying to cheat. Some people's definition of cheating is different. Does cheating have to be reciprocal or is it even letting people say stuff. Does that make sense? I think some cheaters may be numb to "smaller" things that wouldn't seem like cheating to them bc they are just numb to relationships but is def a red flag to a lover who has never done that before.

I think it all depends on the person, but i don't think the other one should forgive.

I have a friend that got cheated on and she forgave, she didn't trust him after that every time he went out she would call him after 15 minutes to come home they have talked about it countless times and he managed to manipulate her into thinking that he did not cheat that it was only messages, now they "happy" with a newborn baby...

Yeah she could have but now they have a baby and are stuck with big ass loans... It's sad but even tho she says now that he did not cheat she still doesn't trust him go out without her so i think once the trust is broken only a few people can go back to normal if they forgive

depending on many circumstances, some people might not do it ever again... especially if they were younger and immature, and then, they did actually change later in life

just the same as, there is no guarantee for someone who has never cheated BEFORE to never ever cheat on the future...

after all... everyone is faithful in a relationship, till the very moment they cheat... lol

and then, you can make the argument, that there are people who ARE cheaters and prone or even willing to cheat... and then there's many of those convoluted situations in which someone ends up cheating... lol

and I know people change... but for me, such a trust breach is a one-way ticket...
