It will be easy, there’s a mutual respect towards each other.

You want similar things- not just in relationship but long term. For ex: you both value marriage , living a certain lifestyle etc.

You both share SIMILAR values & beliefs. It could be morally , politically or in certain religion.

You will have less disagreements. & when you do you’re able to figure them out.

You accept them for who they are. You’re not trying to change them. For ex: this person dream is to be a musician but you want them to be an accountant because of the financial stability.

You will support each other goals. For ex: you want to get in better shape. But they say you’re perfect how you are. & then next thing you know they’re buying cookies. That’s not supportive.

Also there is a popular quote it doesn’t take 10 years to marry your dream girl. If you’re someone that desires marriage. But it’s the same thing with just asking you to be their girlfriend.

Most importantly they will never cheat on you, they will never physically hurt you, they will never verbally abuse you. And it’s not an on & off relationship.

No relationship is perfect but you’re able to check some of the boxes. There meant to be. If you just want to know if you’re in love with them. Then write down all the reason you like them and don’t like them. See which side is longer. Ask a close friend or relative to hear you out , to give you there perspective.

I can tell you this anytime that you're in a relationship you're going to be tested there's going to be somebody that walks in you're going to feel that energy you're going to look into those eyes that smile you're going to walk past you and you're going to smell that aftershave that cologne or just his body and he's going to do the same to you you might pass each other and barely touch and just feel that energy spark there's going to always be somebody something that's going to excite you it makes you think about a lot of things..

Except for what you're supposed to be thinking and that is are you in the committed relationship

I knew my ex-wife around 40 days before I left for the Air Force. I came home on leave and asked her to marry me. We were together 25 years.

My best friend met someone and he asked me the exact same question, "how did I know she was the one". I told him, when it is right, you will just know. There is no way to explain it. the closest I can come is to say try and visualize your life without that person in it. If you can't, or if it is just too painful to think of a happy life without them, then they are the right one. But honestly, I don't think that exactly explains it. You will just know.
