It simply means that this person is not interested in being in a relationship for the time being as he/she has other priorities in life than a relationship.

It is not really hard to understand. That person has set a goal that he/she wants to follow and that has precedence over a relationship. That is a very wise person because he/she knows what is good for him/her and what not. The relationship is the one thing that is definitely not good at this stage of his/her life.

That is exactly my kind of motto. I am not interested in a relationship but what I can make out of my life.

Don't know, are you on talking terms to ask if are needing space or if they just don't want a relationship. Space is temporary but still wants you and wants to be right to love you.
